gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Three left handed bats from 7-9 against C.J Wilson?
Ehh Verified Member Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Three left handed bats from 7-9 against C.J Wilson? What other options do we have? Seriously, haven't been following this team as much over the past few weeks.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 Three left handed bats from 7-9 against C.J Wilson? You want what, Pillar and Arencibia in there today?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Meh , maybe flip flop DeRosa and Goins.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 You want what, Pillar and Arencibia in there today? hell i would love to see JPA in there catching Dickey . I can just see him stabbing his glove up missing and getting plunked right in the face . LOL Now that would be worth watching the rest of this AAA roster
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I said it a month ago. the jays will get hot enough to end up with a middle of the pack draft spot. they just dont do anything right.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 wow Trumbo is locked in . Glad I have him in the hold,em league
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Mark Trumbo is a god amongst men. monster hit. amazing when you think it went that far off a pitcher who provides little more than an hitting T.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 Dude has stupid power. But how complete of a hitter does he become? Edwin-esque? Or Adam Dunn-ish?
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Dude has stupid power. if the Angels cant get things sorted out next year, they are going to be embarrassingly good.
Jays Verified Member Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Lawrie is fun to watch at the plate. He's so much different than the rest of the line up. He's like one of those hitters that you we always see on the other team. Will shoot the ball the other way trying to get a hit. Just goes with the pitch. It's nice that we finally have one of those guys... although I'm sure Dwayne Murphy is responsible for the Lawrie we observed last season.
Jays Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Alomar speaking well of Goins. and someone compared the two on here. lol
Jays Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 If Goins is our starting second basemen next year I will be super pissed. He is a depth middle infielder that's valueable in the farm system. If you want to go "all in" as there calling it you don't leave holes on the roster. That includes the bench. All in means you have talented players at every position and quality depth that can fill in. Boni at second, JPA at catcher and no pitching depth and they called that an all in year.
Jays Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 nice one sierra #antitanknation
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 angels played that as bad as they could have. nice job by Sierra keeping the wheels running.
Jays Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Pat says that Goins hasn't only impressed with his defence but his bat as well. citing that 291 batting avridge.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Sierra raising his trade value a bit here in September.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Maybe we can con Seattle into taking him for Ackley lol.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Sidearm knuckleball???
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Sidearm knuckleball??? Haven't seen him break that out before.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 doesn't look like much of a crowd at the game
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 68 wRC+. Impressive. Wow, you need to give the kid a break. How long has he been up here again? He also has faced above average pitching while up here. Why do you have such a hate for the guy? Nobody is saying he'll be a starter, but with the defense he can bring, why not root for the guy?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Get thicker skin. I was responding to a post about Tabler saying Goins has been impressive offensively. He has not been. I know he hasn't walked much but putting up a .290 average in his first two weeks in the bigs with a low K rate is considered non impressive?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I know he hasn't walked much but putting up a .290 average in his first two weeks in the bigs with a low K rate is considered non impressive? omg
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 lol WTF do you expect from a middle infielder in his first two weeks?
theblujay Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I know he hasn't walked much but putting up a .290 average in his first two weeks in the bigs with a low K rate is considered non impressive? You gotta remember this is BTS. He literally thinks batting average in unimportant when evaluating a player.
