jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 How many fans do they even get for preseason? You couldn't pay me to go to an NFL preseason game. Obviously not as much as a regular season game, but it's more for the experience of tailgating and yeah watching some NFL football for a fraction of the cost. Sure die hard Bills fans or other die hard NFL fans will go to watch preseason games. No different than going to watch a ST game.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 I'm taking my son to his first NFL game in a few weeks (Steelers with Russell Wilson @ Denver Broncos home opener).

Except you're in Buffalo, instead of vacationing in Florida or Arizona. Oh and except the starters and top prospects actually play at spring training (imagine being in Atlanta and Michel Penix Jr. doesn't play a single snap in a preseason game). I do enjoy a good tailgate though - I'd probably enjoy it even more if I lived in Buffalo.

I also want to start following College Football this year and would be cool to go down to see a game somewhere like in Michigan. Buffalo is actually not that bad in the summer and some of the areas around upper state New York are really beautiful. It's still Buffalo lol but it's cleaned up over the years. I get the appeal of ST since a lot of snowbirds make their way down south in February/March to escape the cold in Florida or Arizona. I bet if the Jays played ST games at the Rogers Centre, there wouldn't be that much demand.

College football is great (I unfortunately don't have time to follow it anymore) and I too would love to go watch a game at the Big House. It hear it's incredible.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 Dillon is done for the year... Saw that - and Lloyd has been hurt for most of the preseason. Wilson will act as the #2, but we're thin at RB suddenly. Also an interesting move to trade for Willis and dump the other 2 backup QB's.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Great game to start the NFL season last night. Would have been even better if Lively got that toe in bounds. I'm told the GB/PHI game tonight is exclusively on Peacock. f*** that s***. Can someone help me find a way to watch it without signing up?

P2F Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 It's on TSN4. It can't be exclusively on Peacock because then Canadians wouldn't legally have a way to watch it. It may be exclusive to Peacock in the US, but certainly not in Canada.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Oh FFS' Please be okay. 5 seconds left in the game! WTF! Kind of a dirty take down if you ask me. There is always a couple of freak injuries during Week 1 of the NFL.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 f*** sakes - Love out 3-6 weeks. One thing I do hate about football is that if you're QB goes down, it can essentially sink your season. Hope that's not the case for the Pack. Sounds like Tannehill will be brought in. Blah.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Da Bills... Tua didn't look right man.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Da Bills... Tua didn't look right man. Why was he going head first there? I love Tua and it sucks that he might never play again, but like literally that was avoidable. Slide down feet first so you avoid a hit to the head. Looks like that division now will be a battle between the Bills and Jets.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2024 Posted September 15, 2024 Packers will be out of playoffs in first game, as they always are. Some things never change
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 Bryce Young benched. What a disaster in Carolina. Jordan Love back at practice already? Unreal.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Seeing Aaron Rodgers as a NY Jet is just too weird
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Bryce Young benched. What a disaster in Carolina. Jordan Love back at practice already? Unreal. What’s funny, is I remember the decision to go #1 with him and it seemed to be consensus that Stroud has much louder tools and the heavy advantage on tale of tape/size. What hurt him, is whatever they call that football intelligence test that they weight heavily in the process. It basically labeled Stroud as partially retarded, in that it was one of the lowest scores ever. Whomp whomp

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 One guy I root against now in Baker Mayfield. Like not trying to say a player can’t be confident but he thinks he’s this elite hot s*** now. He’s still middle of the pack at best. He talks s*** about Tom Brady. It’s like Michael Jordan. He was a terrible athlete is terms of being an *******, but no need to tarnish it
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 How about them Pack? Willis has played incredible!
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 Josh Allen is cookin' tonight...wow
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 Commanders upset the Bengals 38-33 wow! 0-3 now for Cincy who were considered SuperBowl contenders. Bills crushed the Jaguars haha.

Bears fans are starting to get worried - especially with Fields playing well.
