Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Yes, Packers, Holy f***!
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Heh... guess that had you on the edge of your seat. What's heavy 4 digits? Haha, not anymore. A couple years ago when Manning was a beast (I think it was his first year in Denver after the surgery?) and Denver's defense was s*** I would lay $1K-$2K on the over around 55ish and have it covered every game by the third quarter. Turned $1,500 into $10,000 by our Thanksgiving that year. Took half that money out then promptly blew the rest as they learned how to play d for a few weeks. Pretty sure I have a losing record on sports capping outside of those several magical weeks. Now I just play for a few hundred. But that game would have taken me down quite a bit of my small payroll. Recovered after a good week last week, but just to show you that I have learned nothing, I'm betting more than I should on the Bears +7 tonight and Texas/Iowa St under 62 in CFB care of one of the guys I tail. This guy is winning at a 66% clip so far this year and he bets on A LOT of games, like over 30 a week. Dunno how the hell he does it. His WORST week so far this year is 28-17 lol. I'd love to share the link but the last time I did that on the MLB betting thread my guy turned to s*** chasing the Dodgers during their big losing streak. So f*** you guys, I'm keeping this one to myself. Bears game, I think GB will have it brutally tough for two back-to-back home games. SNF followed by TNF with a 30 degree Fahrenheit difference. Bears had a tough game as well but come in as the +7 divisional underdogs. Tough to lay a TD on that. I'll probably go Bears ML as well and live bet GB for plus odds if it goes like the Cincy game. Ultimately though this stuff is just to distract me until my stocks come back from the gutter lol. When my stocks go well, I conveniently forget about sports capping and the hundreds I lose/make.

It's a pay site but he posts a lot of free analysis and you can always find his picks on SBR forum under the service play sections. Walterfootball.com is a good resource for information. It's a crappy looking site but has tons of information. His picks kinda suck though but at least he's transparent posting his historical results and it's a 100% free site
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 My Packers are crushing Da Bears... sorry DP.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 My Packers are crushing Da Bears... sorry DP. It felt strange cheering against Rogers. Most of the time I'm on GB or the over in their games, usually at profits. I knew I was f***ed the first Bears offensive play lol. Good thing my CFB under was as locked as my NFL loss yesterday so one hand washes the other. Got three college plays tonight ripped off from the guys I tail. Nebraska team total under 26.5 BYU TT under 24 USC/Wazzu over 65 (line's down to 60.5 though yay me)
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Dammit that would have been a great comeback by the bucs
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2017 Posted October 8, 2017 WoooooooHooooooooooo... Green Machine!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 The NFL won their case against Ezekiel Elliott, pathetic. I don't understand how a woman who blatantly lied to the police in a false claim against him can win, it makes zero sense? New Player Note Thu, Oct 12 The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has vacated Ezekiel Elliott's temporary injunction, thereby reinstating his suspension, though Elliott is expected to immediately file a new appeal. Advice: In the words of the Dallas Morning News' Katie Hairopoulos, the NFL "wins this round," but Elliott will seek a new injunction from the Southern District of New York. It's unclear what his odds are of getting it. At least for now, Elliott's six-game suspension is free to take hold, but things could be different by this time next week. The Cowboys are on bye for Week 6. In a league prone to opaque legal sagas, Elliott's is setting a new standard. If Elliott's suspension actually does take hold for Week 7, Alfred Morris and Darren McFadden would likely form a committee. Morris is probably the slightly better add. The truth is, there is zero clarity. More: Kate Hairopoulos on Twitter (Rotoworld.com) http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000860432/article/ezekiel-elliotts-suspension-reinstated-after-court-ruling
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Should be a good tilt tonight between the Eagles and Panthers!

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Colin Kaepernick has filed a grievance against the NFL, alleging that his continued unemployment is the result of collusion among NFL owners. I don't see how he can prove enough collusion to claim damages. If there are two people available at similar skill levels surely it's within the hirer's rights to sign the player with less controversy? I don't watch the NFL - is he actually any good and could he be a starter on a current team?

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 The NFL is a run for profit organization. If an employee who is on contract has their term expire and brought a negative image on the league, why would they bring tbat employee back.

But really, what team wants a controversial back up QB to hold a clipboard.

Torturing and killing dogs for amusement is A-OK though.

Torturing and killing dogs for amusement is A-OK though. to be fair, the level of controversy re: Vick when he was being signed as a backup was pretty low. There was plenty of controversy during his return, but he (theoretically) had talent to offer at that point which tilted the equation towards him being signed. I don't think its are referendum about which is a worse act

P2F Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Well that was one of the most interesting endings to a football game that I've ever seen.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Well that was one of the most interesting endings to a football game that I've ever seen. Insane!
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Well that was one of the most interesting endings to a football game that I've ever seen. That game made up for the screw job I got betting against KC -7 and under 49 a couple weeks ago against Washington. And the hurting I took last week. Made a nice chunk of change betting on Oakland to win the game in the most heart-wrenching way possible. I'm done with the NFL this season, ending on a high note. It's been a brutal roller coaster this year. If I can make it through this Sunday without one bet I'll know I have kicked the habit. CFB on the other hand I've been filling up my bankroll on Saturdays and emptying it out on Sundays lol
