Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 This game should be an interesting one to watch.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Good matchup for Pillar in his first game, he's been killing lefties. Side note, Drabek is up to AAA to join the Bisons
theblujay Verified Member Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Wow I didn't realize Izturis was so bad. Our bottom 5 in WAR were all acquired last offseason. Awful
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Why stop at five? Our sixth and seventh worst players were also acquired in the offseason. If that isn't enough to fire the GM within 2 years then I give up
theblujay Verified Member Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 If that isn't enough to fire the GM within 2 years then I give up I mean if all those players had 0 WAR you could say the GM made some pretty bad moves, but for all them to be negative is just awful.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Pillar seems awesome (just watched his brief interview w/ Barry Davis). Also he reminds me of Joey Votto in appearance -20lbs in weight and -2inches in height. Just sayin http://a.espncdn.com/combiner/i?img=/i/headshots/mlb/players/full/28670.png http://sportsagentcorporation.com/img/clients/Pillar-Kevin-web Votto TWO-POINT-O

digiblader Verified Member Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 According to AA, Izturis will see his playing time cut significantly--Kawasaki stands to see more playing time, along with DeRosa. And we'll likely see Goins in September(on 40 man)
digiblader Verified Member Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Bet Thole would've blocked that ball better...
Arkadium Verified Member Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Honestly this organization seems retarded for starting Rogers again
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Honestly this organization seems retarded for starting Rogers again I'd be affraid to see a list of crappy starters we've sent to the mound over the last 3 years
Arkadium Verified Member Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 GJ Esmil, don't run out of gas
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Damn you gomes. Well done rogers
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 cant believe the jays got out of the first without giving up runs. Rogers took JPA off teh hook.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Eddy is a little impatient this year
theblujay Verified Member Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 The Red Sox only have 2 guys with an OPS over .800 wow. Maybe pitching and defense mean something after all. Or maybe we just need people who are above replacement level.

It's a good question though... what's better... A) a few guys with really high OPS and the rest low-medium... or everyone medium-high OPS (assuming that the average OPS of both teams is the same).
