Yup. The advanced fielding table breaks his UZR down into individual inputs.

Man there isn't much of a silver lining to his season is there? Second base is actually his worse position by UZR. Stick a fork in him.

Yup. At least you can say that DRS is kinder to him. But that still has him as a -5 defender.

If this was another team, we'd be having such a laugh over it all. This is like Peter Angelos era Orioles.

Is that from his Fangraphs page?

This is actually really surprising.

Sometimes the defense metric units lie. These are based on the comparison between players of the same position.

Brett Gardner looks like the God of the defense because he was compared to: Erick Thames, Delmon Young, Pierre, Morrison, Ibanez.....

A - Gardner

B - Thames

A + B = 10

A >, B = 1

A = 10 - 1

A = 9

I saw Boni play 2B and didn't very well.

that's Mr -5 defender to you. at least he had a useless hit tool to make up for it and he was completely retarded on the bases, which made his speed tool useless as well.

just happy to see anyone else take his roster spot. Probably the worst player on the jays roster for a long time.

It would be awesome if people could discuss defensive metrics without having their weakness pointed out for the 11ty millionth time.

The point is: Boni is a disaster in every defensive position, He would be good as DH ..........oh oh he can't hit.

I thought he was okay in the OF

He's pretty bad in the OF, he missed even easy throws. Rajai isn't consistent but at least you know he has the arm and can sometimes get it right.

Boni was beyond horrible in the outfield, i've never seen a player take such horrible routes to the ball, his speed is the only thing that saved him out there.

I must of missed those games, because like I said he looked OK.

His speed made up for it like the guy said. He didn't take a terrible route on every flyball, but the majority of the time he looked clueless. Only thing that saved him was his speed. If it was one legged Milky taking those routes we'd have been in some big trouble
