So you have to guess 57 hitters who will get a hit today and you win $5.6 million. Is this even possible?

A little less than picking one per day I suppose since you can't be selective.

 

If each player has a 65.7% chance of getting a hit (a .300 hitter who receives 3 AB), then the percent chance of 57 guys getting hits would be 0.0000000039923%.

 

So if 1,000,000 people fill out entries, you'd have a 0.00399% chance that any of them are correct. Basically, MLB knows nobody will win and they won't have to dole out the cash.

 

JPA = Miggy?

X and Y are variables with different value.

X = Best hitter = Miggy

Y = Worst hitter = JPA

Z = 0 > Y
