o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 cant believe Cespedes got to that so fast
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Good job by the offense Please Gibbons, recognize that Rogers is done and go to the pen next inning
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Yeah I wonder how many games this team would have won this season with the Tigers' rotation. Awful defence this year no doubt, but the lineup has still scored runs at a decent rate for the most part.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Hutch getting beat up tonight Bah...
Jays Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 3 homers given up by Rogers today.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Hutch getting beat up tonight Bah... I wouldnt worry too much. Looks like he is a bit rusty. 2 HBP and single led to a grand slam.
Jays Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Good job by Boni to avoid getting hit. Now he has a chance to hit an XBH
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 "Good job by Boni to avoid getting hit. Now he has a chance to hit an XBH" LOOOOL you're a funny dude really
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Wow that was a beautiful play by Lawrie. One of his best.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 This place is such a bandbox. That shouldn't be a homerun. They really need to fix whatever happened with the stadium (windows removal?). The ball has never carried like this before, although it was still a good hitters park. The more we see that replay, the more I think the runner was out.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 wagner was gassed after the Reddick HR. it was a good pitch... didn't help. he had nothing left after that.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Oakland $68mil, 64 wins Toronto $118mil, 53 wins
Arkadium Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Oakland: way more quality starting pitchers than rotation spots. Toronto: zero quality starting pitchers. At least we're not Yankees $229mil, 57 wins
8D Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Oakland $68mil, 64 wins Toronto $118mil, 53 wins Nice baseball ops eh? Too bad Jays will miss Colon this series
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Rogers Centre on http://www.hittrackeronline.com/stadiums.php 2012: 204 HR in 81 games = 2.52/game 2013: 166 HR in 56 games = 2.96/game It was already bad. Now it's worse. Orioles Park and Rogers Centre have by FAR the most HR/game of any park in the AL.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Nice baseball ops eh? Too bad Jays will miss Colon this series I wonder what kind of contract Colon will be able to get, 40 year old having an excellent season...

I find it hard to believe the structural renovations would make a difference in the ball carrying but I guess it's possible...
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 I find it hard to believe the structural renovations would make a difference in the ball carrying but I guess it's possible... They need some engineers to figure it out. Seriously.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Reddick, 82 games, 5 HR Reddick, 1 game, 3 HR Yeah, this would only happen to us.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 reddick with 5 HR all year and has 3 more tonight. this just get worse.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Reddick, 82 games, 5 HR Reddick, 1 game, 3 HR Yeah, this would only happen to us. knew it was coming. A's havent been able to get on base for over a week and today the jays cant get them out. just what the doctor ordered for the A's playoff run.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 They need some engineers to figure it out. Seriously. Our line-up is loaded with power hitters, if anything we would want our ballpark to help the balls carry more. Saying otherwise is a pretty lousy excuse for a miserable season; miserable starting pitching.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 question is how long can AA ride the "injuries" excuse?
Arkadium Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 question is how long can AA ride the "injuries" excuse? This season is such a colossal failure, to the point where it actually worries me that it could be a catalyst for the eventual demise of the franchise. I know that sounds crazy right now given that attendance is up but there just doesn't seem to be any light at the end of this tunnel.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
