MLB:

• The Cleveland Indians acquire RP Mark Rzepczynksi from the St. Louis Cardinals for MiLB INF Juan Herrera
  

 

A's:

• Dan Straily gave up 5 ER in his last start, going 4.1 innings against the Angels. Straily had one career start against the Jays, his MLB debut, going 6 innings of one run ball in Oakland.
  
• Yoenis Cespedes is starting to pick things up. He had his 2nd straight 3 hit game, and had a homer yesterday.
  
• The A's have won 16 games in April, May, and June. If they win tonight it would be win #16 in July
  

 

Jays:

• Mark Buehrle hasn't been too successful in his career against the A's going 2-7 with a 4.45 ERA in 13 contests. He was great against the 'Stros spinning a 2 hit, 9K shutout.
  
• Edwin Encarnacion took home the AL Player of the Week award, hitting a marvellous .520 (13/25) smacking 2 homers and driving in 5.
  
• The Jays are really good at turning something positive into nothing this year, going 10-21 ever since the 11 game win streak
