GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 It may be fair, but I don't think they'd accept. There isn't even a top-50 prospect in that package, and there will be teams offering a better centerpiece. We'd probably need to build a deal around Sanchez or Stroman. I could see them liking Osuna and Jimenez.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I bet the White Sox love Pillar. Just a gut feeling.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I bet the White Sox love Pillar. Just a gut feeling. Probably, but he'd be the 3rd prospect in the deal or something.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Yeah. Sanchez, Pillar and somebody else.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2013 Author Posted July 28, 2013 No way AA trades Sanchez. There's a reason he's the one of the 3 he kept.

Happ (long RP) for Musgrove, Perez, Wocj and PTNL (2M dollars Comer) Dickey (40 years old Ace) for TDA and top-20 Syndergaard Snider for Lincoln?

Corey Patterson for Colby Rasmus Eric Thames for Steve Delabar Vernon Wells for Matt Smoral? He's made good trades too
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Corey Patterson for Colby Rasmus Eric Thames for Steve Delabar Vernon Wells for Matt Smoral? He's made good trades too Escobar trade was another one. He needs to make these types of trades to plug the holes at 2B and C.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2013 Author Posted July 28, 2013 Lucroy would be my prime target if the big name FA's aren't an option. The good news is you can get a very good catcher this off season via free agency so no need to spend players in a trade The bad news is AA may not have given up on JPA yet
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Lucroy would be my prime target if the big name FA's aren't an option. Maldonado is a good option too.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 You also are Greek? f*** you then Wut???? What was your prediction for this team again?

What would you guys think of a move like; Aramis Ramirez + Jonathan Lucroy for AJ Jimenez + Marcus Stroman + Kevin Pillar + Dawel Lugo Too little or too much?
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 You also are Greek? f*** you then Hey just cause AA is a s***** greek doesn't mean all of them are. My girlfriend is Greek and she... oh nvm.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Wut???? What was your prediction for this team again? AA made good trades but he also screwed up. Lately AA is more Amaro than Daniels. Trade Janssen, Oliver, Boni/Izturis and Cecil

Trade Janssen, Oliver, Boni/Izturis and Cecil Don't know where I or anyone else said otherwise. We said he needs to pull off 1 or 2 trades similar to the good ones he's made not the crappy ones. I've said earlier, I hope he stops eating for enough time to at least trade Oliver and Janssen for the best he can get.

DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I thought Storman's the next pedro. He has front end SP potential. Very little risk to be a MLB'er. IMO he's a top 100 prospect in the 50-100 range. That being said his most likely landing spot is in a high leverage relief role so it might be the right time to sell. If you think he's a legitimate front-end guy you don't make this deal.

Cooler Heads Prevail Verified Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 The good news is you can get a very good catcher this off season via free agency so no need to spend players in a trade The bad news is AA may not have given up on JPA yet Dropping Johnson and Arencebia end of season should be two of the easiest decisions this team has. No use gambling on these guys and spending considerable money doing so. Similar situation, if they get one year deals they could both become overpriced guys that management feels obligated to trot out there no matter how badly they play. Try something new it can't be any worse. Don't let 2014 be a repeat. ps I was an Arencebia fan preseason, based on the limited history and age ( for a catcher ), but obviously he doesn't get it. I've rarely soured on a guy this fast but it is what it is.

Happ (long RP) for Musgrove, Perez, Wocj and PTNL (2M dollars Comer) Dickey (40 years old Ace) for TDA and top-20 Syndergaard Snider for Lincoln? I'm just going to say it, the Happ trade appears to be a good trade they got a starter for about as cheap as they come in this market. What am I missing here, who on earth did they give up that is any good ? And Happ is no more a "long RP" then Bautista is a 1B/DH. The only trade I see the Jays made that in hindsight is BAD was the Dickey trade. They thought it was a last building block to a title. However, if things change next year, even that trade is not a slam dunk loss yet. If they make the playoffs, then only Syndegaard becoming the next Roy Halliday makes it a terrible trade. On the surface your post just seems like a bad joke. Maybe you are just trolling like FireAss and the Hamburger Troller.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I'm just going to say it, the Happ trade appears to be a good trade they got a starter for about as cheap as they come in this market. Carlos Perez has a .315 OBP at AAA. Asher Wojciechowski has a 2.82 ERA at AAA. Joe Musgrove is striking out 8.76/9 at rookie ball. Kevin Comer is playing similarly at A-. JA Happ was trash this year and is now injured. David Carpenter was traded for Farrell. Brandon Lyon performed well but is now/was on the Mets. It wasn't a horrendous trade imo. But good? I dunno if I'd go that far.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 You forgot the prize of the trade, star players Franky Cordero and Benny Francisco Oh god why You just had to remind me of them Off to get another lobotomy
