Here's a thread to discuss the utter disaster that this season has been. Go off on a rant about the deep pit of despair that this entire organization is in.

Please, someone, make it stop. Make this season just go away, I can't watch anymore. Just blow it up if you have to, but make it go away.

I actually kinda hope this team becomes the laughing stock of the league and gets swept by the Astros. A nice 11 game losing streak would fit nicely. Let's hit rock bottom so we can see some real change.

That's like what I said bro. We're thinking alike, I said this:

"Please. Please, I want to beg to AA, just f***ing blow up the team. Please.

I'd be completely OK with it. Trade everyone, PLEASE.

Then I want to beg Rogers to fire the Beeston, and the rest of upper management including AA. Fire some of the coaching staff too, and keep Gibby, Walker and Motolla.

Please stop the pain"

Watching hurts. Being forced to expect a playoff bound team by AA and Beeston then to be faced with the same fate as the Marlins......

At least blow it up

It would be nice to follow the individual stories except really, even those aren't that great...this team was supposed to be some sort of all-time record stolen base threat. That's what happens when you're never on base I guess. They should just have the green light all the time on everybody...takes me back to the days of watching cocaine-induced run-a-thons of the 1980's. If you're not going to win at least try to be entertaining.

It's funny how were going down a similar path to the Marlins.

And it's funny how the Marlins chose the right path of rebuilding, while management is here trying to convince us this is a World Series caliber team.

I remember how we ridiculed the rest of the MLB fans for calling us "Marlins 2.0" and how we laughed at Loria... guess who's laughing now?

the last 2 series we have gotten to see real baseball teams play and have Buck and Pat describe how they do ALL the little things right and play as a team. pretty much everything you cant say about the jays this year.

forget baseball skills, the jays players lack personal fortitude and that makes them this unprofessional team we painfully watch. they should be utterly ashamed to show themselves, but instead they do to the media to cry about how hard baseball is and how they are mistreated, abused, wrongfully hated.

some of the biggest s*** hole babies in sports.

embarrassing

There is no "they" w/r/t the crying in the media, only one of them does that.

Also, Buck and Pat gargle the balls of every single team the Jays play so their analysis of the opposing team doing things well means nothing to me.

MB talked to the media sunday, dickey on monday. JPA had is hissy fits for a couple weeks.

it's not just one guy talking too much.

Rays and LA are good teams. most other teams are easier to point out good things. since Rogers refuses to let their broadcasters question the team, ownership, players, AA or anything else there isn't much to talk about during games other than how good the other team is playing?

they have actually slipped a few times lately and said negative stuff, but I'm sure they hear about it and have bleeding tongues from biting them all game.

Seriously, does anyone still want to watch these games?

I watch to get my Arencibia fix.

To be fair, that scumbag Loria isn't serious about rebuilding. As soon as his prospects start to blossom at the major league level, he will sell them all off immediately for pennies on the dollar. Anyone who followed the Expos knows how slimy he is.

Every year our record has declined under Beeston/AA, from 85-77 to 81-81 to 73-89 and now 45-55. Every year the payroll has increased and is now almost double what it was when AA took charge ($62m to $117m). We are now the second oldest team in baseball with a farm system virtually depleted of A list prospects. There are massive holes in our major league roster that need filling starting with 2B, LF, catcher and at least 2 if not 3 starting pitchers, so major tinkering to fix this is an understatement.

This is a colossal mess and Rogers will have to look at one of two pathways in the off-season; clean house and blow up this team with new management or spend even more on free agents like Cano or Ellsbury (although we may have no realistic shot at landing this level of free agent). Given the track record of the current management group I know which I would choose.

Can we see more Rays/A's/whatever games? It's painful to watch the Jays right now.. this series especially, although in reality, this is more what the Dodgers were supposed to be like. At least there's a decent chance of postseason ball at Chavez Ravine.. Angels fans are likely in the same negative boat as the Jays.

Jays need to trade some relievers to get some decent young talent to retool(preferably a 2B, C, and controllable SP). There's talent on this roster--but they need help with SP and at 2B and C if they're going to contend next year.

Don't expect the Astros to sweep the Jays--the Astros are a VERY bad team. We should take at least 2/3 against them. There's a reason the 'Stros are 34-66.

And BTW, regarding LF--no love for Kevin Pillar? And Melky Cabrera is actually a decent player when healthy. We really only need SP, and a 2B. We also could use a better catcher.

And regarding the Marlins trades--Loria is a scumbag. You know he's going to trade Stanton when he hits arb--and he's rushing top prospects like Fernandez(although he's pitched well), Ozuna, Yelich, Marisnick--who have yet to play in AAA, and need another year of seasoning.

#f***thisteam

Before the season I bought TWO 10-game flex packs. I still have 2 more games to go and 4 tickets. I'm thinking of just selling them for a massive f***ing loss.

This team is not likeable. Aside from Jose Reyes, the team is absolutely boring and doesn't have anyone you could actively cheer for and hope to suceed.

Lawrie is a douchebag who gets angry over every little thing

Bautista is good but he can get quite bitchy with fans and everyone doesn't like his whining tendencies

E5 is good but we doesn't talk a lot so you can't really talk about him either

Arencibia is self-explanatory

Pitching staff is pathetic, you can't root for anyone.

And plus we have no young guys to bring up and actively cheer for except Stroman. And when the f*** are we going to give this guy a chance? He should be up here. I'd watch a game if he was pitching.

I haven't watched a single game since the Cleveland series and I don't see myself doing so for the rest of the season. This team is BRUTAL to watch and it's not fun. s***, my hot friend wanted to spend some time with me at the ballpark and I told her f*** no, I ain't gonna put you or me through this shitshow. Yeah, I turned down a probably good date because my blood pressure would go up just being near the ballpark.

I probably could watch if we entered this season with lower expectations but god f***ing s*** son this is such a letdown that I'm going to be depressed until Spring 2014.

Could be worse--the Yankees are in a deeper stew than Toronto...facing A-Rod's suspension and the weakest offensive roster in 23 years(they may not even reach 600 runs this year, which would be the lowest since 1972 if they fail to reach that number.) They face a massively declining roster with even fewer reinforcements coming, as all their top prospects are in high A ball, and several top prospects have regressed. They also face a Robinson Cano who will want a lot of money--let's just say he's not Dustin Pedroia--he wants a large contract of near A-Rod level. At least Pedroia cared more about his team to take less money.

And it could be worse---we could be the Angels--Mike Trout will be demanding a trade out of Anaheim in a few years when the teams fails to build a winning team around him(most of those contracts are backloaded, and that roster stands to get even more expensive next year due to arb raises, and several of those players are in serious decline. That roster need to be blown up heavily.. but nobody's taking Pujols or Hamilton for anything.)

To be fair I did say our major league roster had massive holes, so Pillar was not included. As for Cabrera, even Wilmer agreed last night that if we tried to trade him we would get nothing of value in return. Cabrera without steroids has simply reverted to the 2006-2010 version of himself where he was a .266 batting average, plus he might yet get hit with another massive suspension when the Commish works his way through the list.

I sincerely hope he does get hit with another massive suspension, and I hope that AA was smart enough to include "you get suspended for drugs and this contract is void" clause. Not that we have any superior options to Melky in LF, but hopefully we can find one on the open market during the off season without an incumbent to burden the search

Melky is a player whose absolute value is negative.

The damn defensive spectrum.

The LF is a position in Which you must place a good hitter no matter the defense (Zero-sum game).

If you have a player who can hit for power and have bad defense (Stairs - Dunn lol) place it him in the LF and make a sum of the runs that he provides with his bat and subtract with his defense.
