JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Gibbons doesn't do anything fearing that he might lose his temper and slap some of them around. Well guess what Gibbons, your calm approach isn't working, time to lose it and kick some asses.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2013 Author Posted July 21, 2013 fired for what? because AA has given him a roster filled with mental midgets? As a scapegoat. Like his first firing.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 As a scapegoat. Like his first firing. it would be a bad PR move for the team, for AA and for Beeston. probably wont happen. this team is not getting any better until they employ someone who can actually evaluate talent.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Gibbons probably gets fired this year. Why? - 'cause this team suck
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2013 Author Posted July 21, 2013 So... our organization fully accepts that we can't develop position players, don't they see something wrong with that. Somebody needs to be held accountable for it, no? We can't just give up on developing position players If we could only develop pitching like the A's, we could have used the developed pitchers as trade pieces for batters that we can't develop. But nope, we can't develop anything at all.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 I love Juan Perez. Not too many pitchers finally put it together this late in their career, but he just been stellar this year. I'm really pulling for him.

Beeston and JPR did it and hired Gaston and the Toronto "fans" (by fans I mean the loud homers) went with it and agreed it was the right move and it bought JPR a few more months

I agree there's a problem with position players, but if they kept the prospects, you'd have Syndergaard, Sanchez, Nicolino, Nolin, Stroman, Hutchison with Marisnick, D'Arnaud, Gose. Anyway, we're all frustrated.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 I was hoping to see Delgado in the lineup for this game.

I'm really pulling for him. He's a reliever. The reliever doesn't have great contribution to baseball teams. We need starter and bats
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2013 Author Posted July 21, 2013 Another baserunner to strand!
Howard Roark Verified Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 I'm still not fully convinced that AAgoing full retard this past offseason was entirely his own doing, the sudden deviation from his oft-stated plan was just too sudden and extreme in it's execution. Methinks the order came down from the new ownership, through Beeston, to "put out a winner NOW". It just doesn't make sense to me otherwise.

We need starter and bats All he's saying is that he's rooting for him, he's not saying he's a key component or anything like that. We know you know how to build a f***ing team bro, we're all f***ing pissed here.

A Marlins/Astros future is incoming, more painful years of rebuilding
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Another baserunner to strand! Wrong GIDP
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2013 Author Posted July 21, 2013 HOW IS ARCHER DOING THIS?! 4 walks, 5 hits, 1 RUN?!
Howard Roark Verified Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Agreed on all accounts. Basically this team is f***ed for the better part of the next decade. My money is on the Board riding this out for the last 2 years of our "window" (lmao) before cleaning house. Problem is, Bautista and Eddy won't net you half as much in return then as they would now.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Gose sucks Yet several preferred to trade Marisnick to trading Gose. I know he's taken a step backwards this year, but there's still time for him to improve. Even then, you could make the case that he and Pillar could platoon to provide a cheaper alternative to Cabrera who's the everyday LF right now and making 7/8M. Anyway, the point was that without last offseason trades, the organization would be in pretty good shape as far as the farm was concerned.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 HOW IS ARCHER DOING THIS?! 4 walks, 5 hits, 1 RUN?! It's not Archer, it's our bats today. We should be killing him with the way he's pitched.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 HOW IS ARCHER DOING THIS?! 4 walks, 5 hits, 1 RUN?! Easy against a clutchless team like the Jays.
DH12 Verified Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 what the f*** do you want him to do? Grab a bat and hit people? yes!!!!
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 HOW IS ARCHER DOING THIS?! 4 walks, 5 hits, 1 RUN?! Archer is a decent prospect Archer like Drabek but healthy lol
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Buck and Pat are actually spot on about Hanley. He's been incredible this year. 3 WAR in 42 games.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 It's not Archer, it's our bats today. We should be killing him with the way he's pitched. The silver lining - Archer has been nasty last 6 outings
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 We miss Kershaw and Greinke and face Capuano/Ryu/Nolasco. Too bad we s*** the bed this series.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 f***,Reyes looked really slow getting that tag down.
