G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I don't think he does it for the right reasons though. He likes to show people how he's doing it. I don't think he'd privately donate to a charity without telling the world. I don't know how you can judge this...
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 He got a 14 year old girl to throw out the 1st pitch. She survived cancer. Thought that was pretty good of him. He deserves kudos for that...I hope that girl lives a happy and healthy life. I know some here get personal in attacking the players, but remember it's just a sport.
OtisNixonFan Verified Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 This girl gets a pizza from Boston Pizza every time he hits a jack. He has visited her several times and hung out with her and her friends. This guy has been nothing short of spectacular with this girl and her family. Source: She's my grandfathers girlfriends niece. As much as as I despise every aspect of his game, he does alot for the community.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Agreed. We can trash JP for on field play rivalling that of a quadriplegic, but his community work and off-field charity work is amazing.

This also creates a problem for the F/O since they are so image conscious. I'd like to think this wouldn't affect their evaluations, but it may. Anyway, well said.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Well done JPA! Great human being, awful player
IBTrini Verified Member Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Pillar >>> Nolin? AA hijo de puta I figured I knew what you meant but still went ahead and googled it. After find a rough translation I was trying one word translations before I had a typo "Hijoputa". Maybe this is what you really meant?
