Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Kind of surprising that Derozan is currently having his best game of the playoffs.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 DeMarre deal worst than VWells deal stick to what you know Ang
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 stick to what you know Ang which would be...
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 But we beat two banged up/mediocre teams in the first 2 rounds though! Success! This team is easily the second best team in this conference, moreso with a healthy JV and Lowry. Holy f*** can we give them a bit of credit? Would you rather the perennial bottom 10 teams from the post-Bosh era?
TRM Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 which would be... Well I dunno... not basketball.
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Raps are obviously outmatched, and nobody expects them to win this series. I just want to see a good effort, and learn something going into next year. It's already been a very successful season. #9 pick is nice too!
TRM Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 The Raptors will make this close. This team very rarely gets blown out. Say what you want about them but they have a lot of heart and pride.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 That was beautiful ball movement.

Holy f*** can we give them a bit of credit? Would you rather the perennial bottom 10 teams from the post-Bosh era? Heat with Bosh is easily better than this team.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Hey, at least they're not rolling over.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Heat with Bosh is easily better than this team. I disagree, the Raptors with Lowry playing like himself are better.
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Hey, at least they're not rolling over. This team won't roll over. It's a nice time to be a Raps fan.

Holy f*** can we give them a bit of credit? Would you rather the perennial bottom 10 teams from the post-Bosh era? Exactly. I hate when people call for a rebuild. Raps were a top 5-6 team in the NBA this year. Even if you don't win a championship thats very successful.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Heat with Bosh is easily better than this team. I agree with this sort of, but not "easily better", just "marginally better".
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Exactly. I hate when people call for a rebuild. Raps were a top 5-6 team in the NBA this year. Even if you don't win a championship thats very successful. They're at the top of the non-elite/historic tier (GSW, SAS, OKC, CLE) alongside the Clippers imo. Hawks, Celtics and Heat in no particular order after that?

Even if you don't win a championship thats very successful. I see where the other posters who complained about too much whining are coming from now. This is a good team, but it's not the best team. There's room for improvement, the franchise is in a really good position as it stands.

Even if you don't win a championship thats very successful. I think it's just a testament to the competitive imbalance in the NBA. Raps are a really good team, but the teams above them are just WAY too good.

Holy f*** can we give them a bit of credit? Would you rather the perennial bottom 10 teams from the post-Bosh era? No because they played like dog s*** in the playoffs for the 3rd year in a row. Because the team isnt a giant disaster like the Post Bosh teams we're all supposed to be satisfied? God forbid this team gets rid of Casey and Demar and works toward a championship.

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 any season that guarentees that demar will be back is not a sucessful season in my books, we'll see in the offseason.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Portland is better than those three Eastern Conference teams I think. I don't think they are yet but they could/will be. Which is remarkable, considering that they lost half their lineup so recently. Celtics are in a pretty enviable situation right now, Hawks are good but looks like they're gonna lose a bunch of guys. I think it'll end up Celtics > Blazers > Heat > Hawks soon.
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 I wonder if we'll be able to tell the difference between the final scores of the Raps/Cavs and Jays/Rays games tonight.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 They're at the top of the non-elite/historic tier (GSW, SAS, OKC, CLE) alongside the Clippers imo. Hawks, Celtics and Heat in no particular order after that? Agree.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 No they're easily better than the Raptors with a healthy team. Then why were we 8 full wins better than them over the course of 82 games? any season that guarentees that demar will be back is not a sucessful season in my books, we'll see in the offseason. I know you're the eternal pessimist but you know full well it's not a guarantee at this point. I still think it's likely, but to say it's a guarantee is pretty ridiculous.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Great job by the mayor wasting time on this topic. Not like there other more important things he can be doing... Spend one day working at a municipality and you will realize how wrong this is.

TRM Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Ideally Demar does Masai a favour PR wise and decides he wants to go to LA. A sign and trade would be ideal.
