Chris Paul broke his hand is likely out for the rest of the playoffs. Warriors should be able to beat them fairly easily even with Curry out.

George vs. Carroll as primary defender

Game 4: 1-for-5, 6 points, 21.4 ft

 

So, Carroll seems to be back now. If Demar and Kyle could stop shooting like complete garbage and turning the ball over 8+ times a game, we should have this series

I feel like our team cannot win this series, but Indiana can lose it (if you get what I mean). We won game 3 handsomely because Indiana made so many silly stupid mistakes. Game 4 they cut out that ******** again and it was us who played silly and stupid. I feel like if we win it is mostly due to luck honestly because outside of the key bench guys and Jonas I just don't see that effectiveness coming from anywhere else. Carroll now D-ing up George is nice now though. Can include him in the positives.

 

I honestly don't know what is better for the franchise now though. Losing and finally dumping Casey or winning and being stuck with him for the foreseeable future. Its a conundrum.

The Toronto sports town defeatist attitude rears its head once again. Somewhat cheering for a bad outcome in the small hopes that it will result in a good outcome in the long term. The Raptors losing this round does not guarantee Casey gets fired and even if he does it doesn't guarantee he is replaced by someone better. I'd rather the Raptors win the championship and he gets the Cito Gaston treatment for the next 20 years.

dude anyone would take a title with casey. we'd all take a title with any jackass as head coach. i have no delusions about a title shot with this roster though. i'm talking round1 here and now. he loses round1 again he most certainly loses his job. he finally gets past round1 then i'd say its 66/33 he stays on. thats the conundrum, not a friggin title lol.

Sure sounded like Masai was going to retain him as HC even if they lost Round 1.

 

What HC are even out there that would for sure be an upgrade? If Casey were to leave I'd like to see Nick Nurse get a shot but we still have no idea how good he would be.

sheesh i hope we dont keep casey if we lose again. how many years can we spin the tires like that? and its not like we have ever won games with our defence despite him being a defense first coach. we blow so many leads after half time in the 3Q and its always lowrys hot shooting that bails us out.

 

luke waltons gotta be a hot name as far as a HC candidate goes. could always poach a SA guy aswell. Van Gundy always flirting with returning to the NBA. George Karl maybe? he was set up to fail in SAC from day 1 so i cant really hold this year against him.

Karl is not a good coach and we really don't know how good Walton is. GS made Alvin Gentry look good and he's been one of the worst HC in New Orleans. JVG would be interesting.

i'm not a big fan of his coaching style but how bad is Karl really? he's had to deal with teams built around Carmelo and Cousins. those 2 arent leading any teams anywhere but he had at least some success with denver. i think he gets a bad rap.

 

yeah i can agree about walton. hes gonna be the guy everyone wants this offseason though, justified or not.

 

those were just some of the names off the top of my head. i know theres others i glossed over. i'd probably prefer we go the ncaa route honestly because thats really the best place where u can find a true difference maker. i'd love a guy like Shaka Smart. hes pretty young but i think he has that 'it' factor.

Karl looked really bad in Sacremento so I don't even want him near the team. He was worse than Casey.

 

I think the NCAA is exactly where you don't want to go. Its a different game down there and most coaches can't transition to the NBA. Almost all fail outside of Brad Stevens.

 

Best place is probably an assistant NBA coach.
