Lowry's probably a FA after next season. Are they really going to spend 45-50 million a year on Lowry and Derozan? I would rather max Lowry over DD if given the choice.

 

Yeah but if you figure both would require a max deal than I figure the fact that DD comes up first dictates that you give him what it takes. Let's you do at least one more run with this core and then figure things out after that.

I don't think losing DD would automatically mean rebuilding especially if they use that money and spread it around on quality depth pieces. Losing Lowry though would devastate the team.

Depends where we end up, if it's top 7 I think there are better prospects. I'd love to pick a PF top 10 and there are a couple that look worthwhile

He's currently projected to go 7th right now, would seem like we would have a shot.

 

Though we have Lowry cojo and Masai just drafted Delon, seems unlikely that he would take another PG

I feel like Murray could feasibly play 2 guard in the NBA. I don't know how his off-ball skills are but he's like 6'5" and he likes to shoot.

Not a bad insurance policy if you're worried about Lowry leaving (depending on what you think of Delon).

We have 4 first round picks in the next 2 years + Powell, Wright, Bebe and Bruno. A couple of those picks are likely going to get traded.

I was close to turning it off at half time. It was just sad. Glad I stuck it out for the great come back. Hope they can build on it thursday.
