Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 takes a genius to draw up 34 foot curry jumpshots OKC lost the game in the KD TO. Donovan should fouled Klay after the lost ball too
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 If Curry keeps it up this will be the greatest single season ever for a player. Scary that he legit has range anywhere inside 30 feet.

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 feel bad for durant, overshadowed by Lebron and now Curry. Come to Toronto and be the king of canada KD!
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Sign Durant Trade for Cousins Trade for Blake Griffin/Kevin Love win Why am I not GM
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 but seriously, if durant came to us we'll at least he'll be in the finals for the foreseeable future then he's a curry injury away from winning a ring. edit: actually spurs would probably still beat us.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 but seriously, if durant came to us we'll at least he'll be in the finals for the foreseeable future then he's a curry injury away from winning a ring. edit: actually spurs would probably still beat us. curry injury + pop heart attack well i guess then Duncan would become a player coach and we'd still lose
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 it's amazing cuz the spurs are having a historic season too but no one is paying attention because of the GOAT. This must be what it feels like to watch Barry Bonds in his prime.

I think the Celtics would be an awesome fit for him.

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I'm not super familiar with assessing basketball players... is this really going to be the best season of all time? yes... by the best basketball player of all time.

TRM Verified Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 yes... by the best basketball player of all time. He's better than MJ?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 yes... by the best basketball player of all time. I think I'd go easy with the GOAT talks. Remember that MJ was also a beastly defender.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 He's better than MJ? i think so
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I think I'd go easy with the GOAT talks. Remember that MJ was also a beastly defender. who cares about defense when you can pull up from 40 feet?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 who cares about defense when you can pull up from 40 feet? Curry is more than likely the best shooter of all time, yes, but defense is a key aspect of the game and MJ dwarfs Curry in other aspects of offense as well.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 There's no way that anyone wouldn't take prime LeBron over Curry. LBJ has to be like the most valuable player of all time, in pretty much any of the major team sports.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 30 ppg on .685 TS%, case closed.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 30 ppg on .685 TS%, case closed. Lmao, case closed? Are you serious?
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 when you're that much better on offense than anyone else in history I don't care about defense man
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 when you're that much better on offense than anyone else in history I don't care about defense man It's been 1.5 seasons of this type of performance from him. Like I said he's probably the best shooter of all time, having one of the all-time great seasons, but how about we let him do this for a few more seasons before we throw the GOAT label around?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I think Curry is having the best season ever but he isn't yet the best player ever. IMO you have to continue performing for multiple years. If he can be like this for another 2 or so years and then stay healthy until he breaks down he's going to be the GOAT. He's got a good chance to maintain his performance though since a lot of his value is his shot.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I don't know if curry is even at his peak. This year he increased his 3 pt attempts by 3 a game and still improved his percentages. So at what volume will his efficiency start to drop? Could he increase his shot attempts one or two more a game and still maintain his percentages? If your peak is higher than anyone else's then you are GOAT in my mind but I know other people weigh in longevity so they will disagree.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Just effect*time for me. So both. Curry's MJ-esque immunity to scale is impressive as Dineke mentioned, that's worth something too.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 lol you can't label a player the greatest of all time because of 1 season. James has been bringing his teams to the finals for 10+ years
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 WTF is up with those last two fouls?
