Curry is more than likely the best shooter of all time, yes, but defense is a key aspect of the game and MJ dwarfs Curry in other aspects of offense as well.

There's no way that anyone wouldn't take prime LeBron over Curry. LBJ has to be like the most valuable player of all time, in pretty much any of the major team sports.

It's been 1.5 seasons of this type of performance from him. Like I said he's probably the best shooter of all time, having one of the all-time great seasons, but how about we let him do this for a few more seasons before we throw the GOAT label around?

I think Curry is having the best season ever but he isn't yet the best player ever. IMO you have to continue performing for multiple years. If he can be like this for another 2 or so years and then stay healthy until he breaks down he's going to be the GOAT. He's got a good chance to maintain his performance though since a lot of his value is his shot.

I don't know if curry is even at his peak. This year he increased his 3 pt attempts by 3 a game and still improved his percentages. So at what volume will his efficiency start to drop? Could he increase his shot attempts one or two more a game and still maintain his percentages?

 

If your peak is higher than anyone else's then you are GOAT in my mind but I know other people weigh in longevity so they will disagree.
