dineke Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Bulls are always scary in the regular season.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Giannis had 16 pts (7-8 shooting) 8 rebs 4 asts 3 blocks tonight. Really wish Masai could have found a way to get a pick last year. Might be my favourite player not on Raps

Edit: Actually it's still very sad.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Bulls Raptors/Cavaliers Wizards Hawks/Heat Imo My East is: Bulls Raps Wizards/Cavs/Hawks Heat Cleveland's defense is a problem that I don't really see being fixed with the current roster. Bulls healthy is a very very good team. I am kinda scared at how many mins Thibs plays his guys though. Bulls have a history of wearing down come playoff time and Butler is playing almost 40 min/night. No matter how good of an athlete you are that takes a massive toll on the body.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) The odds of the Bulls staying healthy deep into the playoffs are pretty bad. Jimmy Butler is playing 41 MPG. That is going to catch up with him eventually and Rose is made of glass. If they're healthy they're clearly the best team in the east though. eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 A lot of chatter about Boogie wanting a trade out of Sacramento. Pretty tempting but it'd likely take at least JV + Ross + 1st. I wouldn't do it.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Wouldnt trade Ross but Demar+ JV id do it. A Lowry-Ross-Johnson-Johnson/Pattterson-Cousins lineup is a championship front 5

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 As much as we love being armchair GM Cousins is not going to be traded. Not even the Kings are that stupid.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Not even the Kings are that stupid. You'd be surprised.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I like Ross but I don't think he's even close to Demar. -Can't play defense to save his life (stumpy arms hurt but he is also brutal at breaking screens on the perimeter.. someone as athletic as him shouldn't be getting killed like that by Korver/Redick/etc) -Can't get to the line -Very average handles -Way too passive
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 That would be an amazing trade especially with Ross and JV expiring at the same time. Pleaaassseeee.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 You are higher on Ross than Demar? Not but its a better fit for the team. Demar Lowry and Cousins are all high usage players and there's only one ball.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Don't like neither but Ross doesn't cost 10 mil a year. He's coming up though, isn't he? He'll get a decent chunk of change himself.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 He's coming up though, isn't he? He'll get a decent chunk of change himself. Derozan is going to come up after next year and is going to get at least 15 a year because he was an "all-star". I truly believe there is no way he's on this team past next year or we're headed to a half decade of treadmilling. And if Ross asks for 10 million a year, he can GTFO too.

Hope we can find a way to upgrade the Knicks pick into a pick high enough for Ben Simmons or someone on the wing. If Ross asks for like 6.5 that's ok I guess. Lou, Ross, JJ and JV all expire this year iirc. Not good.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 With the uptick in revenue coming in, I will be surprised if Ross makes anything under 9 million a year. Greivis f***ing Vasquez is making 6.5. I agree that Ross would be a much better fit than Demar. Jays fever is right on, there is only one ball and Lowry/Demar/Cousins are all high usage players. Fit is more important than skill in this scenario, there would be no spacing at all with a Lowry-Demar-JJ-Amir-Cousins lineup

Ross JJ and JV expire in '16 and Fields + Stiemsma + Hayes all expire this year. Available money shouldn't be an issue
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 You'd be surprised. Yeah but this isn't the first time Cousins has been "not happy" and he is still a King. There's been no indication they are even thinking of dealing him.

Val and Ross don't become RFA's until the following off season, JJ is signed throughout next season as well. Lou and Amir are the only significant free agents this upcoming off season

You can find a 3+D player (And Ross can't even seem to play D these days) for less.

SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Do they let Lou walk though? He's a perfect fit. If he asks for what I think he will, I think he's going. Getting another quality 4 is more important than bringing back Lou since I don't think Amir will come back unless it's at his current salary or lower.
