burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Lowry went derp there. Game over.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 That as a flagrant? WTF?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Lowry went derp there. Game over. mumbles something about you being reactionary
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Very lucky, obviously the next shot needs to be made and fast.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 That as a flagrant? WTF? If you foul away from the ball in the last 2 min team gets one shot and possession. Its the anti hack a Shaq.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Ross just saved Lowry's ass. Wow.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Gonna need a BKN here.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Ross came out of nowhere, we need to get lucky with a miss from the line.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Lol, the clock didn't even change.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Disheartening loss, but the refs sure helped out near the end.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Oh well. Raps should have won but theres been games this season where they should of lose and ended up winning. Tonight was the reverse. On to the next one.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Really missed demar in the 4th there. Good game until the last 6 minutes
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Disheartening loss, but the refs sure helped out near the end. Those junk fouls were all off the ball though so they really didn't help the Cavs put points on the board. That last 5 count wasn't even 5 seconds so it goes both ways. Raps deserved to lose with how they played in the 4th, bottom line.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Can't wait for ECJF's take.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Can't wait for ECJF's take. Probably calling for the tank.
immature Verified Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Ugh what? He's had a good half and even last game was decent but lets not get carried away... No way he makes the ASG with Noah and Horford. Maybe a tad bit of an over-exaggeration. 2 years from all-star 3 from mvp. But seriously, we should of won this game. There were a lot of poor offensive sets during the last 3 minutes. Lowry took some tough shots but he didn't have many options. Casey has got to organize the offensive better and run some effective plays in crunch time.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Tough loss, they're missing DD. 1st 4th quarter lead given up, that's impressive.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Tough loss, they're missing DD. 1st 4th quarter lead given up, that's impressive. I agree, the offense was cold and we could have really used DD drawing fouls to stop the clock as well as the FT's
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 I dont think they played particularly poorly during the last 6 minutes of the game, there was a rebound though that Patterson should have came up with, about 2 shots before on the same possession that Lebron hit the go ahead 3

Casey has got to organize the offensive better and run some effective plays in crunch time. The thing I hate the most (and I see it happen around the league all the time) is that in the last few minutes teams will try to waste clock instead of trying to get a good shot right from when they have possession. I've seen it a few times now where Lowry just waits at the top of the 3 point line untill about 14 sec left on the shotclock then runs the play. What then happens is if the other team plays good defense taking away the first or 2nd look then it turns into a rushed low % shot. I feel like Lowry doing too many isos late in the game instead of moving the ball around which is how the Raps have been successful. Lowry is such a good player that its hard to argue with him but it seems like he is a little stubborn sometimes and that seemed evident with the last regulation shot in the DEN game.
immature Verified Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Yeah I agree. It seemed every offensive set began with 15 seconds left on the shot clock. This is understandable when you a 7 point lead or greater and there is less than 3 minutes left. But the game was tied with 4 minutes left if I remember correctly, so there was no point in wasting time. It probably has something to do with the mentality of the stars on each time. The Cavs were essentially running ISO plays and high pick and rolls for James the last couple minutes too.

However, the most frustrating part for me was the lack of rebounding. That Lebron 3 was directly because f***ing delladedova got 2 offensive rebounds on one possession. Was ripping my hair out watching that

Its frustrating in the last couple mins but sometimes you just get bad bounces. Raps were actually the better rebounding team last night. Raps 12 OREB on 31 chances Cavs 12 OREB on 35 chances
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Breakdown of the end of the game here. Looks like Lowry didn't box out at all on those two O boards. Again, it was a good game overall and one I think we win with Demar
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Amir has 6 rebounds in the last two games. Love Amir but they need to start resting him against s***** teams. He's broken. He got destroyed in several key rebounding situations last night and it cost us dearly. Sucks because we outplayed them for almost the entire game. I'm not really angry about this loss because I was expecting it but we still let it slip away beacuse of horrendous rebounding.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Johnson with those two stupid fouls against LBJ within like three seconds of each other also cost us quite badly. You cannot commit five team fouls with like 8 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter against a good team. It's the kiss of death. Refs called a very fair game up until that point so we can't call conspiracy either. Gotta stay disciplined.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Thanks ECJF. No problem bandwagon fan #32351!
