Thank Salmons for the inbound too LOL

Holy s***, Shaq could have inbounded the ball, we're not asking him to shoot a fadeaway three with 0.4 seconds left!

Maybe Casey doesn't like him? You know let's revisit this tommarow night and im willing to eat full crow if there's major coaching blunders.

We're in a critical race for the division lead, every win is costly. Putting in your worst players for the majority of the 4th quarter in a close game is not the way to go when HCA is at stake. The difference between doing this vs the Magic and doing this vs Miami, is that the Heat won't stand for that ******** and would quickly put us down 20 before we can even call a timeout.

Maybe he was purposely resting the starters for tomorrow? I dunno

This still shouldn't happen though:

T. Ross F 22:07 3-5 , -2, 7 early points, DID NOT PLAY IN A CLOSE 4th QUARTER

A. Johnson F 34:31 2-5, -2, 4/3, was also a bit late to the party, and for some reason played while it was still a blowout.

J. Valanciunas C 36:38 6-8, 8-8 FT, +1, 20/9 with a block, was great once again.

D. DeRozan G 37:57 6-14, 15-16 FT, -1, 28 points

K. Lowry G 35:31 6-18, +-0, 16/4/3, took over late in the 4th quarter when we needed him the most.

T. Hansbrough 05:09, +9, Psycho T barely played.

J. Salmons 08:24, -1, 2 points, once again played crucial minutes in the 4th that should have gone to T-Ross.

G. Vasquez 15:25 2-6, 0-3 from 3, -2, 5 points, two late turnovers and an airball which almost cost us the game.

L. Fields 17:07 2-3, +12, Fields was awesome, played great D and even posterized some dude.

N. De Colo 07:38 2-5, +11, De Colo once again proved why he should be playing all of Salmons and Novak's minutes along with Fields.

S. Novak 09:58 3-5, 2-4 from 3, +5, 8 points, meh, he made some shots, and as usual was irrelevant on defense, played more than Ross in the 4th...

C. Hayes 09:35 ,-5, Chuck for the most part was played at the right moments except for a brief amount of time in the last quarter.

I honestly expect a tweet any time now saying that Ross left the game with a torn achilles or something, inexcusable to have him only play 22 minutes, whether they were resting him or not, games like these only stop his development.

His rotations and late game management has been questionable since his days with the t'wolves. It is what it is, just have to take the good (defense) with the bad.

You just posted the minutes yourself so let me ask you this. Who of Amir, JV, Lowry or DD do you take minutes away from to go with YOUR guys game plan?

Salmons and Novak.

Well, if you watched any of the game, at one point we were blowing out the Magic, then Casey for some reason decided to put in all of the starters, if we wanted to rest them so badly, we could have let the bench ride it out and only put the starters when the game started getting close. Exhibit A, Ross could have taken a few minutes away from DeRozan, Hansbrough some off JV. Vasquez could have kept playing, taking away minutes from Lowry. Then when the game actually got close, we could have put the starters in instead of letting the game be tied, probably force another blowout, and then the bench could come back in. OR, at least give Ross some damn minutes at the end of the game, further advancing his development, and giving us a better chance to win.

When the bad is egregious though, you have to be worried. I love the fact that the team plays good defense, but then you go ahead and take one of your best (if not easily the best man-to-man) defenders on the team out, who also happens to be a good 3 point shooter, for useless guys like Salmons and Novak. Things like this get badly exposed in the playoffs, and we all want to at least get past the first round.

I hear you. Casey is really the ideal defensive assistant but as a head coach, he does some really stupid stuff like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iq8iAUYzC14

Yea for everything he does well, like keeping the guys playign hard, loose and defending well, he does things equally as bad such as his rotations, preference for vets regardless of the situation and his late game playcalling

Orlando. Utah. LA Lakers. Philadelphia. Milwaukee. Boston. Detroit. Sacramento.

All look like locks to be in the lottery. There are some decent possible destinations for him actually.

Lakers would be pretty cool, not Phily or Boston. Utah has an underrated ball market and he could do well there as well.

How awesome is it to have a backup big that isn't cringe worthy?

Yet Novak still saw time in the first friggin quarter

And Salmons, don't mind that Fields just had a great game, probably won't play again for the rest of the year.

I usually don't mind GV, not too many better backup PGs as far as offense goes. However, Cole is really giving him problems right now

Seems like a good game for Fields to be playing, given his size. Probably the best guy to defend Lebron
