Salmons likely gets comparable minutes in the 2nd half. Casey is almost like an NBA version of Cito Gaston. Play the kids please.

Like why is Terrance Ross not playing 35 minutes a night?

 

You cannot explain it. Kid has taken a star turn but he still struggles to get extended minutes.

 

In the time he played he did everything right, we know he shoots a good 3, good dunker, but I really loved his work on defense, he was great at giving guys no room to move, lockdown defender.

Not only does he get limited minutes, but he doesn't get enough touches. He clearly has a good enough handle to run PnR and makes great passes when he gets the opportunity. I think he could really be a good slasher/driver with how explosive he is

If Bynum (Andrew) really is healthy and his attitude is in check, Pacers with a stupid good option off the bench, could make a big difference.

There was a lot of talk about JV being exhausted earlier (probably from also playing summer ball). I think they're making sure they get him rested before the playoffs, and will probably ramp up his minutes the last few games.

We're not that far removed from a 4 day break. He doesn't look visibly tired.

 

I can understand limiting him to 28-30 MPG..... but not 18-20 MPG.....

Casey falls in love with his veterans in the 4th, so most games Val is on pace to play 25-28 minutes but he gets glued to the bench in 4th.

 

What I don't get is, if he's never going to play the 4th, who gives a s*** about his fouls? That's the reason he's out so early today, has 4 fouls...but if he's only playing another 6 minutes, what does it matter

The other 4 guys have zero offensive ability. Vasquez needs other great scorers on the floor to give him wide open shots.
