P2F Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Big game tonight vs Washington. Go get it! Game is tomorrow, bro. But yes, go get it.

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 The Wiz are easily the most inconsistent team in the entire NBA. One night they look great, the next look like a typical bottom feeder. Id go nuts if I was a fan of theirs
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 All sorts of rumors flying around tonight re: Lowry. Latest involves the Knicks, Raps, and Hawks... Yeah, good luck with that.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Sportsnet Report: The Toronto Raptors have shown interest in acquiring four-time All-Star Rajon Rondo from the Boston Celtics.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Well Massai has shown in the past that he knows what he is doing, so if be believes Lowry wont resign and we can get a good package for him, im all for trading for Rondo.

Disagree, this roster does not fit Rondo at all. And it would be a huge package for Rondo...they asked the Kings for Isaiah Thomas Ben Mclemore and a first round pick. No way I would match or even come close to that offer.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Acquiring Rondo with only one year left on his contract would be dumb... just resign Lowry.

Everyone talks about fits, but talent overrides everything in the end. Rondo would just be an alternative to Lowry if they feel he wouldn resign
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I read it was 2 firsts. Everyone talks about fits, but talent overrides everything in the end. My concern is Rondo cannot shoot outside the key and is mainly a draw and kick type. We have limited shooters already, take away Lowry - I think it becomes too easy to stop our offense

We have limited shooters already, take away Lowry - I think it becomes too easy to stop our offense You can always trade DeRozan and Rondo brings much more to the table than just sucking in defenders and kicking. As constructed we're probably an average team right now if the conferences were balanced. Focusing on optimal fits is more important imo when you have conference finals in your sights. Though I just read the offer was Issaih Thomas, Ben and two first round picks.that's nuts.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 On a random note: The Toronto Raptors, who are already 28-24 and third in the East, have the NBA’s easiest remaining schedule – by far. http://nbcprobasketballtalk.files.wordpress.com/2014/02/image5.png

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 My concern is Rondo cannot shoot outside the key and is mainly a draw and kick type. Also the fact that he completely destroyed his knee.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Grab a rebound guys......
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Ugly start lol The start matches the attendance
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 The first ended well, starting to pick it up.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Chuck Hayes should never play again... Hansborough putting in work.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 John Wall is going off here... Vasquez actually playing well? Wow
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I was just going to say, this is the best few minutes I've seen Vasquez play
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 They look rested and fresh. Amir had a great first quarter. Patterson is balling. JV hitting his shots.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 They look rested and fresh. Amir had a great first quarter. Patterson is balling. JV hitting his shots. Solid contribution from everyone thus far
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 It's funny the ones who aren't playing well are usually the ones we can count on (Kyle and Demar)
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Wall and Beal are tough. Val going up strong! Love it!
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Are the Raps for real? Are they a cheap but young and well constructed team with a very promising long term outlook? Should I start watching basketball?
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Are the Raps for real? Are they a cheap but young and well constructed team with a very promising long term outlook? Should I start watching basketball? Not quite an ideal team, but they are young and talented. Plenty of cap space coming up - main question is do they keep Lowry and build on this core or blow it up completely.
