theblujay Verified Member Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Amazing game even though we lost. Really exciting back and forth and an incredible game for Ross Crawford is just a pure Raptors killer.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 First player in NBA history with 50+ points while averaging less than 10 ppg He should be getting 30 MPG a night from now on. s***** players don't score 50 (Tony Delk is one of the few exceptions). Let's see what we've got with him. Hopefully this is a huge confidence builder for him and he'll find some consistency. He put up 1 point vs Charlotte and 3 vs Dallas... Two games later has 51. Good shooter, great defender, needs to improve in driving to the basket (definitely has the athleticism). Very useful guy.

Gotta remember though he was not even the third scoring option on most plays, Derozan, JV and Lowry are all ahead of him in the pecking order on most plays, and when he gets into quick foul trouble like all 2nd year players do since the refs in the NBA are like umps in baseball except worse for veteran bias... he loses time. If Demar is out for any length of time with this foot thing, I bet he shuffles pretty quick near the top of the scoring options list with that performance last night.
theblujay Verified Member Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Is it just me or does Blatche always go crazy vs. us. Anyways this is a tough game vs the Nets + Refs w/o DeRozan
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Heh, gotta love that shot! I wish more players would stop trying to protect their percentages and try that - could be the difference in the game.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Win of the season!!!!!! Patrick f***ING PATTERSON
GD Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Wow. Wonder how those rumors surrounding Lowry will develop following this.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Nets are a joke. Not really... Hottest team in the league...
letsgobjs Verified Member Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Win of the season!!!!!! Patrick f***ING PATTERSON The guy's been awesome since he's been with the team. I didn't even realize he's only 24.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Pat-Pat is around 15 ppg/8 Rpg per 36 min He's like awesome 2/3 nights... Then he'll disappear. I like him though.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Not really... Hottest team in the league... I don't care if they're hot now. They have the worst gm in the league who traded all their future picks for a bunch of oldies.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 haha Deron Williams, nice pass. The Nets truly are the Phillies/Jays of the NBA. Mediocre old, broken team. Not sure why people are calling them a darkhorse in the East. Half their roster will be on crunches by game 70

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Apparently Lowry wants to stay in Toronto. Could just be posturing but it's promising: http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1300434

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Should be a fairly easy one tonight.. hope the raps show up and don't play like they did against the celtics.

Going to the game tonight. Should be a gimme... But the games against the Lakers and Celtics were the same situation. Oladipo and Afflalo are their only real threats.
theblujay Verified Member Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 No Demar again. They better take them seriously.

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 4/36 should get it done for Lowry.
