Brian Tallet Retires

Lefty reliever Brian Tallet has retired, reported Burt Wilson of Lancaster Newspapers. MLBTR has confirmed the news; Tallet is pursuing a career in coaching. Tallet pitched to a 4.79 ERA in nine seasons with the Indians, Blue Jays, and Cardinals. He pitched for the Padres' Triple-A club last year, joining the Lancaster Barnstormers of the Atlantic League this spring. Tallet was a useful reliever for the Jays from 2006-08, compiling a 3.38 ERA over 173 innings.

I won't forget all that grunting he did

He sure was dependable those few years.

I don't think people realize how fashion-forward Brian Tallet was. That guy would wear bandanas and s***.

Poor Bruce Tallet. This is really going to hit BTS hard.

and Thames, and Brian Wilson, and Franklin, and McGowan, and Sergio Romo

I'll miss Brett Tallet, that's for sure. If there was one solid guy out of the pen, it was always Brent Tallet. Thanks for your contributions to the Blue Jays, Bryce Tallet!

We should all grow a stache to ease the pain

How much service time do you need to get an MLB pension? I was always under the impression it was 10 years of service time.... So assuming old Brucey isn't going to get one.

Blue Jays should invite him and put his name in the Level of excellence around Rogers Center

It should actually read "Brody Tallet's Facial Hair"

Has a man ever been more alpha?

Rarely man. Rarely.

If he really wanted to over-the-top impress? Get his ass back in the game with Toronto via the heavy ball program. Wow that would be something.

Bob Tallet was praised by Cito as an innings eater

Remember in 2010 when he was our #2 starter to open the season? lol

Who had the better lambchops, Bernice Tallet or Dustin McGowan? I'd say Benjamin probably did.

Remember the game Cito brought Bruce in to close out the game in Atlanta(?) when Francisco was available in the pen.

Classic. That might've been his last game! Aka the balls-to-the-wall game.

Good thing he never pitched for Mr.Burns or he'd be told to shave his damn sideburns.
