GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Sorry dude, I guess I'm just propagating rape culture. f***, I'm a catholic kid from Newfoundland. Half the kids I grew up with were interfered with sexually, one way or another. They didn't go on to use it as a crutch. If someone f***s you up enough you either let it weigh you down or you grow up and settle your score. Whether thats a lawsuit, an asskicking or a convenient career as a correctional officer thats up to you. Their are far more satisfying and effective ways to vent. Writing a novel about it, thats about as soft as it gets. He won a f***ing Cy Young as a professional baseball player making millions of dollars. I'd say that's moving on, wouldn't you?
DH12 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 The sad part is everyone was expecting a good start tonight. Worst offense in the American League. Just came off throwing a gem to the second best offense in the NL and reigning world series champs. I hoped he would be good too. But that's my point you can't depend on him at all. Not ace worthy.

I don't disagree. He won a Cy. I just don't get all the hooplah surrounding his childhood abuse. Although, all of this frustration is likely stemming from his poor performance this year, I just don't feel the same empathy I would for a Sheldon Kennedy or Theo Fleury.

He wrote the book to help people in his situation to overcome their own troubles, not vent like you alluded to earlier. Rape is rape.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Works a great AB, and then swings at ball 4 #thisteamblows
DH12 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 they are overstating how bad the fog is
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 That would of been Ball 3... and it was a mistake pitch but ok. Count was 3-2 when he popped up, so it would have been ball 4

Rape is rape. Your right rape is rape. Having never had the misfortune of being abused I really shouldn't have opened my mouth. Alas, I'm mighty f***ing frustrated and the gin has certainly not helped my demeanor. Appologies to anyone who has been victimized. Tough day.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 they are overstating how bad the fog is camera makes it look much worse than it is.. for the hitters atleast
deadlee Verified Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I dunno how EE can see the ball.. the SN broadcast is sooo hazy.. We better get a dinger in here, because there is a strong chance this game doesn't go 9, at this rate!
DH12 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 This team is such a tease. And their teasing us again 2nd and 3rd less than 2 outs guess how this ends?
Wilnercibia Verified Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 EE is a slow phuck We need a run, gamble there We're gonna lose by a run
Shogun89 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 f*** off Ventura, makes a pitching change for every batter
Wilnercibia Verified Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 And their teasing us again 2nd and 3rd less than 2 outs guess how this ends? Pop up
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Rasmus, for the love of God PLEASE
deadlee Verified Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 EE was sooo slow.. he barely made 3rd on that... A faster runner could have threatened home on that.. although unlikely, unless it was Davis or Gose!
DH12 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 The jays are so bad it actually makes it more enjoyable to watch them in the fog can't see all of their bad plays
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 And their teasing us again 2nd and 3rd less than 2 outs guess how this ends? Let me guess, K & K?
DH12 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Nobody should be shocked if the jays don't score here
