Buster Verified Member Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 AA on Bautista at contract signing: "we are signing the human being as much as the player." nice one!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 3/4 of the other AL East teams won today - two were playing each other. Sucks.
IBTrini Verified Member Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Jay these GDT s are as full of whinners and bitchers as bad as the old board . Obvious to me some have no clue how the game is played they just come on here to cry and bitch . wish juice would bann about 20 of them and we could come to a board and just talk baseball . I can understand feeling disappointment and reacting to it but I have to agree some of them do go overboard with their reaction. It is almost as if some of them do not realize how much of a difference there is to watching a game on TV as opposed to being at the plate. Watching it on TV the brain has time to digest the fact a ball is going to be in the zone no matter how much movement it had while not taking into consideration the ball is not coming directly at you rather than moving away from you and also simply eliminating the reaction time it will take to swing and connect with the ball. There is also a failure to recognize, even though a situation may be crucial, that the hitter will not successfully hit the ball safely to score a run the majority of the times. For some, every at-bat must result in something positive or the player will be raked over the coals as if the poster could have done better in the same situation. Granted in some instances it appears as if someone from "AAA" would have been better able to make the play but that's playing the "what-if" game especially since that replacement player could have had a brain-cramp too.

Wilnercibia Verified Member Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Royals have won 5 in a row, but we can't pull off a sweep after a 4-0 lead It's really frustrating and pathetic
Wilnercibia Verified Member Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Royals have great talent. If they won 10 in a row I wouldn't be all that shocked by it. We have more "talent", yet we can't go on any kind of substantial run... f*** this team Wouldn't be surprised if we lost 2/3 to Chicago
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Went to the game yesterday what a gorgeous day for baseball. Unfortunately the boys blew the lead and I didn't get there early enough to get a Reyes figurine And yeah I have almost no confidence in the Jays to pull off a sweep against anybody at this point.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 The Royals are a very nice team. If they're still contending around the break, I wonder if they'd be interested in a Buehrle-Hosmer kinda deal.

Arkadium Verified Member Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 What a f***ing clown that guy can be. I actually don't mind him reacting that way if he's right, but when he's so obviously wrong he just looks stupid. Also it was only the strike one pitch, not even strike two or three. Question is now, can he learn from this? Based on last year or so, I'd say no.
