P2F Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Ewww. The earliest we can get to 0.500 is game #62. SO even if we go on an 8-game winning streak starting now, we than have to win 60 of the last 100 to finish with 91 wins. While not impossible... f***.
CHRIS Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Did you see the Phanatic snag that ceremonial pitch from Lou Ferrigno? Even he's got better form than JPA.
deadlee Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I had sworn myself after all those Leafs seasons to not get too excited about a sports team ever just cuz of the heartache....but I let myself this past offseason! Man it sucks!

digiblader Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Should be a chance. San Diego is as pathetic or worse than Toronto. Marquis, Richard and Volquez are garbage, plus they aren't a strong hitting team.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Sportsnet So, it appears the new Ottawa CFL expansion team actually settled on the name 'RedBlacks'. lol cfl

DH12 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 they are playing like a 70 win team. They have a good chance to finish with fewer wins than last year. Which should send AA packing to the Mets to reunite with Riccardi. At least AA will then get his top prospects back working with New York

digiblader Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 FYI, much of the magic on those ex-Jays on the Yankees has worn off--Wells, Overbay have regressed, Francisco was DFAd.

deadlee Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Wow I miss having an ace... It was always such a good feeling we had our Stopper, Halladay, taking the mound every 5 days... It's too bad we never could surround him with the right talent!
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Reyes coming back would only be a marginal improvement upon Kawasaki who has been playing well lately. Don't expect to ride Reyes all the way to the playoffs. Cmon bro. Reyes over Kawasaki is night and day. Are you trolling?
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 He also had a hit (single) in his first and only at-bat so far.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 As the guy who scooped him up before everyone else in MPL, I'm giddy at this guy's upside. Plus, I'm seriously f***ing desperate for some rotation help.
Rajaifailedgrade1 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I think the most painful thing about tonights loss is the realization that we don't have an ACE.... Roy Halladay and even Ricky Romero up until last year were always stoppers. We don't have an Ace/Stopper, we just have 5 pitchers who you never know what to expect with, even if they are all Healthy.. It's really sad Hallday Burnett Marcum Mcgowan Litch Best ERA in baseball Now we have random call ups, washed up vets, and journey men. One of the worst starting staff in baseball
