Agreed that Lawrie needs to cool it. Fortunately a win is a good way to settle things. Watch the replay after they are all shaking hands and you can see Lawrie and Gibbons seem to of settled with the bro hug.

Here's the Game Graph. Leverage Index for the last PA was 7.31 - more than seven times more important tha average and one of the most crucial situations you can draw up.

79.4 WPA for Kawasaki's double.

we are going to have to endure buck and talbet use the word "clutch" to describe Kawasaki for as long as he's with the jays.

Arencibia 3-4, 1 walk, no K. I'll be damned.

Yeah that makes up for that fastball down the middle passed ball and the 0-2 fastball call to wieters that he ripped for 2rbi's

Oh come on. That passed ball was 50% JP and 50% Delabar. Delabar missed his spot by a foot, JP should have caught it

Is it just me or is this Mark Devlin guy a HUGE improvement on Buck? His call on the Cabrera/Kawasaki throw home was right on. I'm still watching the games on mute, but having to listen to only 1 "expert" is much better than 2.

Maybe, but I think Delabar was hesitant to throw the splitter and tried to throw it for a strike and hung it to Wieters.

Arencibia actually had a good approach for his ABs today. Two opposite field hits, a walk (!!!!!!!!!!!!), he wasn't being the pully hacker like he usually is. We need to see more of this Arencibia.

Devlin >>> Buck.

I want to see a Devlin + Buck pairing, though, screw Tabby.

He's been pretty good. Orioles guys are unreal though, was listening to them too.

Here's the Orioles call on the walk-off, totally objective: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=27464117&c_id=mlb

Gary Thorne is probably the best commentator out there. He makes playing NHL 13 a lot of fun, and was the only reason I lasted with 2K baseball for more than a week. He's just an unbelievable commentator.

Anyone have Howarth's call?

The way the Jays were teasing the crowd all day by getting into big situations and failing to come through, they really needed that ninth inning rally. Very uplifting win.

I think we're gonna drop 3 of 4 to Atlanta though.

I thought Gose had a good game as well. Worked that walk in the 8th and was robbed of possibly a 3B by Jones.

Melky working 2BB's was good to see. Gotta give kudos to JPA for his 3for4 game + the walk, let's hope he looks at this and says to himself 'hey, there's more to hitting than HR's'.

Gotta get the pitching fixed, hopefully JJ will come back after one more start in Buffalo and join the team on the west coast IL trip. I think if JJ makes it back, it isn't so bad if Jenkins is the 5th starter with a quick hook.

I like the fact that Gibbons let Lawrie know who's in charge. he needs to be benched tomorrow even if it costs the team.

We can't really afford to bench him atm

sure we can. it's not like we're gonna be in a pennant race. going forward, breaking him is important. Lawrie needs a reality check and it might cost us a game or two now, but long term it's the right thing to do.

Meh, I see your point, and I guess vetrin can't be horrendous

I think it depends what Lawrie was upset about. If he was upset he didn't get the rbi, then he should be benched multiple games. I don't think that's the case though, I think he was so focused on trying to get the team one run closer that he was upset when it didn't happen on a play he thought it should have. Just a case of forgetting the situation, rather than a case of being selfish imo.

lawrie needs to be bitch slapped publicly. it's the only response that is acceptable for such a horrific display of ego and dissing the team. Gibbons needs to do it to keep face on the team and in the league. Lawrie needs it because he's a douche and we have to have hope that he can mature and leave that behind him( doubt he can change, but can maybe be leashed)

he was either mad at Lind or Rivera. to rant publicly at either and be so openly disrespectful is so wrong and needs to be addressed.
