The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 What has happened to Kenen Bailli this year? He has gone missing. He had a nice average the past two years in the high minors, but I can't find a single thing or anything on him for 2013. He defected from Cuba a couple years ago and signed with us. He is in his late 20's though so he's pretty much a finished project, but I was interested to see what he would do this year. Anyone know anything? He could be an injury replacement option for the OF.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 That's so weird. Not on the DL. Can't find anything stating he got released. Nothing.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 I know, that's what I found weird, it's like he just disappeared.. No news articles, no reports, no stats, no nothing. I could see if he was a player down in Single A that had no success, but he was in AAA last year and hit not too bad. Is it possible for players to defect back to Cuba? Has anyone contacted missing persons?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 28 years old Cuban. No pop or speed High average though, could be a Reed Johnson type bat. You're supposed to support your fellow Cubans!

Maybe he had a career ending injury and it was announced in the rambling AA press conference in which the end of David Cooper was also announed???? AA - ...And our scouts really liked Boni. In fact Anibel Sanchez did some consulting for us and just raved about Boni... And our scouts also looked really closely at Melky, they talked to everyone and David Coopers career has ended and we also think Johnson will have a great year, he's only just really recovering from shoulder injuries our scouts just love him, and Kenen Bailli has a bad knee and his career has ended as well and our scouts just love Anthony Gose, he really has made ajustments and with his athleticism and our scouts...
