Arkadium Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Kawasaki cannot hit to save his life but you can tell the guy actually works hard in terms of doing his homework. Great pitch recognition ability. Are you kidding? He was a .300 hitter in JPN...

Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Melky with more dumb baseball. Dempster throwing a lot of pitches he gets out on one pitch
DwightDM Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Kawasaki cannot hit to save his life but you can tell the guy actually works hard in terms of doing his homework. Great pitch recognition ability. If only we could combine his approach with a guy like Rasmus or JP

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Isn't it amazing how a patient hitting club can look average when you pound the zone?
DwightDM Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Yeah, with his stuff he's gonna give up some hits and runs but if he can keep making good pitches like he has been so far he could be very useful for us.

Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Jenkins pitches like a right handed buerhle
DwightDM Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Isn't it amazing how a patient hitting club can look average when you pound the zone? Was thinking this myself. Boston excels when dummies like Romero and Happ can't throw strikes. When you get guys like Buerhle and Jenkins who have inferior stuff but can pound the zone, it's like they don't know what to do.
