GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Is this Storey's major league debut or no? Lol he pitched 30 innings of absolutely stellar ball for the Astros last year. But this is his first time playing for a major league team, yeah.

JFD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Boston is juicing again.. test those f***ers!
dmrich28 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 great game by Lester oh well, get them tomorrow
JaysZee Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 13-24, and -56. We laughingstock now! The only interesting thing will be the trade deadline, A lot of chips to trade away for young prospects, and rebuild properly
Rajaifailedgrade1 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 In a game where you have a journey man spot starting, the jays "should" provide offence right? 1 hitter.. f*** em
dmrich28 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 The only interesting thing will be the trade deadline, A lot of chips to trade away for young prospects, and rebuild properly not too sure about that..our chips ain't worth much right now
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Nice job Lester, we never had a chance! Game 1-0, Man on 2B, 2 outs and Lind 3-0 count
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I really hope Sierra isn't brought up. He doesn't have a ML skill set. He's hitting the ball right now and can hit against lefties. He's much more what we need unless it's Negrych and we go with Boni as 4th OF, Negrych as 5th.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 The only interesting thing will be the trade deadline, A lot of chips to trade away for young prospects, and rebuild properly I realize you are a true troll and only looking for attention...but I'll play. The Jays will not be much for sellers at the deadline. All they have left is an increased TV audience and quite a few extra tickets sold from the off season. They are not going to appear to be going backwards, they have to continue to sell this as a talented base and not appear to be taking a huge step backwards. The biggest pieces they will move at the deadline would be Rasmus and Johnson.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I'd really rather go find a 1-tool RH bat from somewhere else. I just don't like Sierra - he can't run, hit, or defend. If we're calling someone up I'd want it to be Gose or Negrych. Kyle Blanks please! So what? We'll be missing a bat against lefties and the kid feeds off of them. The power bat we've missed. So his bat isn't all that powerful and he's riding BABIP luck just like Negrych and Wilson, and like BTS said, there are better options.

If we're calling someone up I'd want it to be Gose or Negrych. Gose is way too redundant with Rasmus here and is still in need of so much work in Buffalo, he won't get the work here. Sierra shouldn't need to defend often. he can DH against lefties and Rasmus will have to play (or Boni is CF).
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 This would intrigue me. Dude can move for a big man too. I haven't seen much of him but based on my initial impressions - big, can run a bit, great power, struggling to find a place - he's the RH Travis Snider, I assume. I really like the idea of this, especially because he could probably stick long-ish-term as a platoon partner for Lind/Rasmus + pinch hitter.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 A guy like Casper Wells or Kyle Blanks is just so much sexier. Oh jeebus, Wells would be SO, so great right now.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Better options? Name them without moving players off the 40 man? We're talking about a bench player here? Kyle Blanks, Kevin Pillar, Ryan Langerhans? Not sure who's on the 40 man but I like the idea of going out and getting Blanks. Sierra just isn't an MLB player.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I'm convinced the Red Sox will sweep the Blue Jays thus ending the Blue Jays' season on May 12th.
