JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Rajai has been great this year. His #s against LHP have been stellar, and he has been generating runs all by himself (ie. stealing 2nd & 3rd base consecutively last night, or scoring off Jose's 'sacrifice fly' a couple nights ago. He is clearly a better leadoff option than Lawrie against lefties.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I didn't mind the moves Gibbons did right up to bringing Lincoln in, the problem is he didn't do his job regardless of getting squeezed. Once he walked the bases loaded, he should've been hooked for Janssen. Janssen could've pitched the following inning to boot. Lincoln blew that game he was terrible, throw f***ing strikes. That was a big loss to literally throw the game away. Janssen should've been in to get that final batter. That's where Gibbons f***ed up. I too was ok with everything up until Lincoln came in. More often then not he probably gets out of that inning, but when this team is down on the ground and has been kicked in the nuts several times already, I wouldn't risk it. Maybe we still lose the game, but I at least would have preferred our best option lost that game than Brad f***ing Lincoln.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Because Rajai is not a team player, he just goes up their hacking... and swinging for the fences when his job is to get the f*** OB. This team needs more team players! Derp.
