o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Good stuff, still high hopes for a guy with that kind of stuff, at the very least a player to follow in the minors, we don't seem to have to many of those at the moment. if they can get a strike throwing Drabek back, he would at least be a good long man in the pen to start. if both Drabek and Hutch come back and pitch well, the jays can perhaps trade JJ at the deadline and bring in some more pieces for a run and next year.

This is my ideal world. However, it wouldn't to get Hutch/Drabek some AAA polish. I think a legit AAA stadium/league could do wonders for Drabek's confidence, no more Vegas ********.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 I hope he hasn't lost any velocity. For Drabek less is more. Less velo, more chance to throw strikes.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I've got Drabek stashed on my DL in Fantasy Challenge. He has great stuff, and he may just be a pitcher who takes time to figure and iron things out. Though yeah, not expecting much from him. Can't wait for Hutch to return though!

Possibly we may be in presence of the new Ryan Vogelsong; peak production at high age.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 When he comes back it will be awesome, more pitching depth! Hopefully JJ can come back strong after the DL stint so we can trade him

Caper Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Is it possible that the first TJS wasn't done properly and effected his control?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Is it possible that the first TJS wasn't done properly and effected his control? I doubt it, his first TJS was out of high school and his walks increased more each season it seems
Sparky12 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I'm definetly looking forward to getting hutch back over Drabek, but with that said to have them both back and starting in AAA is great depth to have, both potentially good #4/5 guys in the rotation if pitching well,

Still, he's a nice 6th starter to have They just need *somebody* to pan out. Sure, perhaps this organization is just poor at developing their players to be successful at the major league level, but surely somebody can slip through the cracks and become a good player despite that.

For Drabek less is more. Less velo, more chance to throw strikes. That's a generalization JJohnson for Joc Pederson LAD And off the ledge I jump.

P2F Old-Timey Member Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Doug or Kyle? Doug stands a better chance.
