Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Thank you for your help with my grammar But I still do not understand why Gruber loves Goins but not Pillar If you love Don Mattingly you should love Will Clark If you love Justin Smoak maybe you love Ike Davis as well If you love Gustava Chacin you should love Josh Towers If you love Ryan Goins I think you should love Kevin Pillar Is it just me that reads all of Olerud's posts as though they're poorly formed haikus?
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 sooo is this guy worth anything or is he an orgfiller? http://news.nationalpost.com/sports/mlb/toronto-blue-jays-prospect-shane-dawson-pitching-without-a-muscle-in-his-shoulder-starting-to-show-his-true-potential maybe he can turn to Loup one day...

If you like deceptive lefties who throw in the mid 80s
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Hoffman with a couple walks and 1 strikeout through 3 innings today. Lack of strikeouts are getting to be a bit concerning

Thanks for posting. Dawson put up some great numbers a couple of years ago but I kind of lost sight of him. I had no idea about the physical issue. He could be one of those Kevin Pillars types who beats the odds and carves out a niche role.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Hoffman gave up back to back HRs. First one on a high changeup. Not a great start so far.

Yeah I think you want to keep him in Dunedin this season or move him to NH if he really pitches well. Certainly don't want him rushed to the bigs. I've listened to a few games so far but it seems Hoffman for how hard he throws doesn't get the swings and misses he should get. Of Hoffman's 3 SO today only 1 was swinging and there were only a few other swings and misses according to the broadcast.

I don't think he's leaving Dunedin at all, they can keep a close eye on him there all year
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 So in that DSL game I don't get the stat line on Nova what the hell happened in that game to get a pitching line like that? Hows that even possible?
nowayjose Verified Member Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Jonathan Davis 3/4 tonight. He's having an unbelievable start to the milb season. If he keeps it up we have another Pompey on our hands.
baubau Verified Member Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Pompey 1 for 1 so far ...and he ends it there lol. 1 for 3.
nowayjose Verified Member Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 ...and he ends it there lol. 1 for 3. It was a big hit though... The only hit.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Reid Foley had 3BB 6 SO through 4 innings before finishing with 5BB and 7SO through 4.1 IP. Astros prospect Brock Dykxhoorn who was facing Lansing threw 6 IP 2 BB and 10 SO. He's from Goderich, ON
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Urena also hit a HR in the Lansing game.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 good good Pompey. 1 of his homers was oppo, so that is very, very encouraging.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 good good Pompey. 1 of his homers was oppo, so that is very, very encouraging. Meh we will trade him for a starting pitcher lol jk but maybe
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 good good Pompey. 1 of his homers was oppo, so that is very, very encouraging. We need Pompey back up here big time.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 We need Pompey back up here big time. No we need a competent left fielder
nowayjose Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 J.D Davis 2/3 with two doubles. # top 10 prospect
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 J.D Davis 2/3 with two doubles. # top 10 prospect DJ is da man, JD isn't bid deal
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Pompey wasn't a big deal until last year too. JD is 23 years old
nowayjose Verified Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Anthony Alford 2-3. Alford is really bueno at beisbol. JD Davis, the good one, 1-3, .415 AVG Sarcastic back then, truth now.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Sarcastic back then, truth now. A slip, a moment of madness DJ is da man bro
nowayjose Verified Member Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 He could be a potential candidate for the sample size video on Youtube, or we could have another strong outfield prospect on our hands. DJ and JD #2 can both be the man. More the merrier.
