jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Scott Copeland took a no-no into the 7th before Josmil Pinto broke it up. Still tied at 0 in the 9th..

King Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Wow. He skipped Bluefield and Vancouver (not counting being promoted there to watch the playoffs). Blue Jays from Away @JaysFromAway 7m7 minutes ago Lansing will have 3 piggyback days in their rotation. Dawson/Suriel, Greene/Gonzalez, Reid-Foley/Shafer.

metafour Verified Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 So MiLB is listing Tirado as the probable starter for today's game....
bronson44 Verified Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Wasn't Hoffman supposed to pitch a couple innings somewhere the other day?
metafour Verified Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Wasn't Hoffman supposed to pitch a couple innings somewhere the other day? He's pitching in extended spring training. Its all rehab work still.
King Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 So MiLB is listing Tirado as the probable starter for today's game.... Might be just a bullpen day.
spats Verified Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 So MiLB is listing Tirado as the probable starter for today's game.... The Dunedin team website shows Silverstein as the starter. I hope you're right...going to the game tonight.
metafour Verified Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 The Dunedin team website shows Silverstein as the starter. I hope you're right...going to the game tonight. MiLB is showing Silverstein now as well.
King Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Sean-Reid Foley starts tomorrow for Lansing. Conner Greene tonight.
King Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I just wish Smoral was in Lansing too. He must have had an awful spring.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Jesse G-S Richard Urena demolishes the first pitch of the 4th inning to right, his first HR of the year tying the game at 1-1 Stanozolol
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) Pimp-Foley debut 3 Scoreless, 2 walks, 6K's Michael "Carlos Santana" De La Cruz: 1-1, 2-runs double Edited April 14, 2015 by Angrioter
metafour Verified Member Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 He also struck out Michael Gettys twice today. Gettys was having a pretty good start to his season as well (for a kid with major hitting question marks). That sequence of picks in the 2nd round will be interesting to follow for us moving forward. Reid-Foley, Monte Harrison, and Michael Gettys back-to-back-to-back. All three had first round talent/tools.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I don't know much about SRF. Any chance he gets a cup of coffee with us in 2016?
metafour Verified Member Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I don't know much about SRF. Any chance he gets a cup of coffee with us in 2016? Unlikely. The whole "promote 20 year olds from A-ball" thing isn't likely to stick as an actual strategy.
metafour Verified Member Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Specially, Monte. Jacob Gatewood is overrated IMO Gatewood wasn't available to us as he went in the Compensation first round.
spats Verified Member Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Just watched Hoffman pitch in an extended spring game vs the Pirates. He pitched 2 innings, giving up 2 hits( one was a bloop single), no walks and struck out 4. His fastball sat around 93-94 but it was his first outing. I'm sure his velocity will go up. His strikeout pitch is a devastating curve. You're going to love this guy...lots of Jays brass out to watch him today. Even got him to sign a ball for me.
