This would be a no-deal YEXIT so I am counting "I will not quit the league" as support for the time being.

oh man, Ireland is going to be pissed! So I guess... Spanky?

This debate is deader than abortion. I’d be out.

You'd actually quit the league over this? Wow, you're crusty.

I did not enjoy fantrax when I last used it but from all accounts, those complaints have seemed to completely die. My only real questions have to do with if there will be a revised rule regarding green flags (previously, once a player is up, he's up forever) and whether the increased convenience in having our farm on the roster would lead to some revisions. Such as, shuffling guys back and forth from the minors or if we just want to stick to the rigid system in place now. Not really for or against, but if we are doing Yexit, might be worthwhile to examine some of the quality of life increases that come with a better platform.

Aside from the lack of features Yahoo has introduced, what's really turned me off is them shoving their stupid DFS platform in your face all the time. Pretty clear they don't care about the free yahoo league service and there's a big part of me that doesn't want to reward them for that.

No more having to track rosters on a sheet, no more illegal pickups, no more weird situations where guys get added to the database after their debut. I'm all for change.

Yes, and more than anything, I'm pissed that we have to re-litigate this every year. f*** off already.

Not having to track prospects/picks/offseason rosters on a spreadsheet is such a massive improvement to the league that I'm surprised people are weighing aesthetic preferences over it. I still prefer the look of Yahoo to the look of Fantrax, but Fantrax is objectively a better service that dramatically reduces administrative burden.

Yexit is such a good term, that I have coined, that we might have to do this just so we can all say Yexit a bunch

I am against the move as I use the DDL to pad my yahoo fantasy baseball score

In all seriousness I really rely on the mobile friendly Yahoo fantasy app to manage my team. I don't know how Fantrax's is, but based on comments it seems inferior so I would prefer Yahoo.

I'm not sure that it is inferior. The Fantrax app is kind of just a compressed version of the website, so you get basically the same display and features. The Yahoo app is an entirely different thing than the Yahoo website with different information and search options. The Yahoo app has a better mobile interface, sure.

We should really move to fantrax though. Unless Yahoo fixea their system. I have 3 guys done for the year hogging roster spaces. Like I cant really drop Upton, Price, Baez

Fleaflicker is interesting, but they don't quite have full support of the minors (only the top 400 players). It looks like there's a taxi squad setting that could cover the minors players they have in their database, which would at least keep them off the FA list. Everything else appears to be supported though, including tracking waiver and MiLB draft picks and trades, IR setting choices, email drafts (that would be nice), etc. Layout looks fairly nice, and they have a mobile app apparently. Might be worth considering.

At some point this offseason I think I’ll get bored, wake up one morning, and Mr. Robot will have migrated the league over night.

This infuriates me because it's so f***ing stupid, and such an easy fix. They incorporated IR+ in their NHL leagues years ago. Giving MLB leagues the option to use the regular DL or the DL+ is a no-brainer. MLB teams don't use the IL in September, and it legit f***s with fantasy playoffs in a meaningful way if you can't DL players listed as DTD. Yahoo just does't give a f*** about making their service user-friendly for the dynasty crowd.

Like, the last note on Javy Baez in Yahoo states that he's not expected back in the regular season, but he's still not eligible for the DL. That's f***ing stupid.

Time to switch to Fantrax I guess

Well looks like Trout is unofficially out for the year.

It's getting close to rebuild time.

The Angels won't DL him though. So enjoy not only losing the best player in baseball for the playoffs, but also letting his corpse sit on your roster and prevent you from at least replacing some of the counting stats.

But Fantrax's look takes getting used to, which is far more important.

Yes, this is my meltdown thread.

It's been like this from the beginning, I've sacrificed a shitload of quality players to the wolves over the years to get a competitive edge in the playoffs.

f*** fantrax.

That must mean it has to continue, obviously. I mean, fixing stuff that is obviously wrong is for dumb dumbs.

Also, let us know when you ever have to sacrifice a player of Trout's caliber.

It's time to trigger article thirty and start the path towards Yexit but I'm not sure if we should ask the Queen to dissolve parliament first.

I wonder if we'll have our own group of remoaners.

Remember when we used to mock the FC or whatever it was called for being a bunch of our of touch old men and doing things like counting hits and batting average? Even they’ve moved to Fantrax.

I prefer Fantrax over Yahoo by a large margin. Yahoo has just kept the status quo over the last decade, not making any real improvements whatsoever. Yahoo isn't dynasty league user-friendly as Fantrax is.

Fantrax is just so much better in every aspect. It takes time to get used to, but it's far superior. Most of us in the DDL are in the LOD anyways, so I don't think the transition would be difficult by any means.

Again, have a look at fleaflicker and see what you think. They're geared to football, but they have baseball too.

With MLB moving to 28 player rosters in September next year, I'm sure you'll see a lot more guys put on the IL, just saying.:P

this is a good point.

Certainly doesn't solve the no minor league rosters problem though, which is far more important.

I already gave my reluctant demi-approval.

... f*** I hate fantrax tho

Fantrax has gotten substantially better since you last used it, FWIW. It's clearly superior to Yahoo at this point.
