TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Team MVP: I'll avoid picking a pitcher and pick Springer. Before his injury he was doing a little of everything for my team. I'll give a little honourable mention for my 2B tandem that's putting up a .357/.430 slash. Sitting with Infante in my 2B spot to start the season, now I've got two under 30 options acquired for nothing (a third and Wilmer Difo I think). Team LVP: Marcel Ozuna. I was expecting a dropoff...but not this. Worst part is that he's my only CF next year. Team Ace: Only 13 innings but I'll give it to Jose Fernandez. Thor has been pretty good too. Team RA Dickey: I guess this has to go to Wade Miley. His first three weeks single-handily put me in a hole that I couldn't get out of in this stupid pool Breakout Prospect: I hate to took the horn of any pitcher who isn't being stretched out at all. Yohander Mendez came back from injury in a relief role and didn't give up a run for his 25 innings pitched. I thought lights out lefty in the pen was his future anyway so I'm pretty happy if this fast tracks him to the pen. Honourable mention to the most bland top 100 prospect who is improving but still bland Michael Conforto. Guy has the most boring .312/.394/.475 slash ever. Dud Prospect: I've always had two rules: don't tell anyone if the girl you went home with ended up having a penis and don't trust anyone named Lucas (these two might be related). I broke rule two with Lucas Sims. f*** him.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Team MVP: Although the answer is obviously Mike Trout, I want to give major credit Charlie Blackmon. Even I wrote him off as a fluke product of Coors, but he's also provided a solid .795 road OPS this year which is great for a CF with speed. Team LVP: Alexei Ramirez went from having an incredible year (by his standards) to being god awful. Justin Verlander is also a turd. Team Ace: Clayton Kershaw, but big shoutout to what Gallardo has done for me. Team RA Dickey: Jered Weaver.. I'll never forget what you did for me in 2013 though bro. Breakout Prospect: Casey Gillaspie -- hoping he turns into a big power 1B like Teix. Dud Prospect: Nick Castellanos.. I didn't expected much but I though he could at least be a solid doubles guy.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 If anyone is looking for a back end SP, I'll move Jered Weaver for the best MiLB pick offered to me.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Mike Napoli can be made available for a similar struggling vet SP or a draft pick if anyone wants to role the dice on a power/OBP guy.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Team MVP: Nolan Arenado -- has been a monster this season with 24 HR and 70 RBI, slugging close to .600! That one week when he hit 8 HR's was insane! Team LVP: Mike Napoli -- has been a disaster. My patience is running thin. Team Ace: Zack Greinke -- leads the Majors with a 1.39 ERA and currently is working on a scoreless streak of 35.2 innings. Can't ask anything more from an ace. Team RA Dickey: Chris Tillman -- he has s*** the bed. Breakout Prospect: Robbie Ray -- will be earning a promotion soon to my MLB roster. He's been a solid SP in Arizona so far which is encouraging. Dud Prospect: Matt Davidson -- why do I still own him?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Dud Prospect: Matt Davidson -- why do I still own him? Because he's going to win ROTY or MVP or something like that.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Still kinda cheesed that I was one year early on Harper. If this breakout happened last year I would have won PL, instead I got relegated. You would have looked like a prophet, hah. At least you stumbled into Pujols finding the fountain of youth this year
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Team MVP: Gotta be JDM. Yet another guy I thought was fool's gold that turned out to be legit.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Team MVP: Dallas Keuchel Team LVP: Tie between Trumbo, Choo, Headley, Kennedy, Fister, and Shoemaker Team Ace: Dallas Keuchel Team Dickey: Ian Kennedy. I had quite high expectations for him. Breakout Prosoect: lol
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Scherzer, deGrom, Kluber, and Hamels? FFS. Someone abduct silvergun so we can have a dispersal draft for his roster.

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Anyone interested in a .515 OPS catcher with pop before I cut him?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Anyone interested in a .515 OPS catcher with pop before I cut him? That depends... did NJH draft him ahead of Yasiel Puig?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Wow TCA, what's my commission on this Liriano deal? I'm expecting at least a mid-2nd rounder.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Anyone interested in a .515 OPS catcher with pop before I cut him? I cut him weeks ago. You are a man of greater patience than I.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 That depends... did NJH draft him ahead of Yasiel Puig? *rimshot* Then he went to havok. Then I traded Napoli for Zunio who has also become a turd. Everyone in any Zunino deal lost.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Isn't this like Upton's 3rd stint with TCA? I was going to send a Trout for A-Gonz + Liriano offer but obviously that won't work now.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Ooooh, speedy gets Alex Reyes in the deal too. That's more like it!
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 That awkward moment when you don't know if this means TCA is going for it or rebuilding.

I wasn't sure if you saw the prospect side of it after your original comment, hah. It seems like a decent deal to me. I could spare a bit of offense and needed a pitching injection + got potential ace who i can ogle over

This will be the 1st time he's actually played a game for me.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Gonzalez/Gomez/Jones/Puig/Upton at 1B/OF/UTIL. You greedy whore.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 That awkward moment when you don't know if this means TCA is going for it or rebuilding. He doesn't either, so that's about par for the course.

Zimmer is, of course, a worthless throwaway at this point.
