Did I ever tell you guys I used to play ESPN fantasy, so when we started this league I dug up my ancient Yahoo acct.

When I signed it, it had somehow been taken over/merged with some teenage girl's yahoo profile/email, except I had access to all the features like it was my account still.

Sadly I just created a new one and didn't take advantage of any hijinks, and I've always sort of regretted it.

By teenage girl do you mean 13?

When I was in my early twenties my phone line had a full on crossed line with a 16 year old girl (Bell did nothing so I stopped paying my bill). At first it was funny and we'd have full on conversations with her and often her friends. Then she started showing up everywhere i met my friends, and became obsessed with my buddy Greg and showed up to his work at least once a week. If this role was reversed the cops would have been at the guys door. I couldn't even get Bell to repair my phone until her Dad borrowed her phone and I happened to be on the phone. I explained to him what was happening.

Only league that matters is the DDL. 14 team, 12 team, and 10 team leagues don't count either.

$1000 fantasy wins > DDL.

Lmao @ answering to the lod here, gtfo North haha.

That format really rewards people willing to put an ungodly amount of time into fantasy, and I draw the line at unhealthy.

I feel it's way easier to manage than a Yahoo team. The email notices tell you exactly who to look up and when. I find it easy-peasy compared to a Yahoo! league of any size. Would love to kick Yahoo! to the curb permanently.

I like this trade for ya. I had offered an OFer for Scherzer too. I'm a fan of the inverted L.

Everyone was offering outfielders. I think I ended up discussing four different hitters for Scherzer, all OF.

You and I actually would have had a trade if you didn't get greedy, lol.

As is usually the case. I'm amazed Cats Ass ever executes trades with anyone.

Is the fantrax app any relief over their f***ing awful website?

That alone is almost killing the league for me.

nooooope, it blows too.

I hate how it shows YTD stats by default on the team page. The trade interface itself sucks (but the ability to 3 way and stuff is cool) but if you're over the limit it doesn't push you to drop someone like Yahoo does, or claiming guys off waivers you have to make sure you have room.

Features are cool, execution is clunky as f***. Yahoo is the opposite + a UI that doesn't make your eyes bleed.

I don't find the LOD much work at all. There's nothing worthwhile on the waiver wire. Just start your lineup on a daily basis.

I don't think anyone makes deals they aren't comfortable making. As is usually the case.

Also, two (2) trades over the past week.

It's less work because you can streamline it into the rest of your baseball attention-paying processes. There is no value adding by maneuvering through free agent lists like you would in Yahoo! leagues. I already read MLBTR posts and monitor Twitter news, which give me all I need for LOD. If I happen upon news that some scrub I like is getting called up, then I quickly look up his availability. Once a minor leaguer I have is nearing 14 days in the majors, I make a move and add a new minor leaguer from my watch list. Aaron Hicks reached 14 days, so I flipped him and added Ian Thomas, who drew praise from Andrew Friedman in an MLBTR link. It's a system that doesn't actually take much involvement.

And you're right about lineups. Erasmo and Frias have been on the same schedule for a while, so every five days I just need to sub them in. And I do a little bit of shortstop mix-and-matching between Castro and Semien. In my Yahoo! leagues I have to constantly check to make sure I'm not sitting pitchers.

I also use the watch list a lot in this league. When a roster spot opens up, I can just go off of it if I don't have the time and inclination to do any research. I think I've added and dropped Blaine Hardy four times in this league. He's like my Steve Tolleson. First guy I drop when there's a crunch, first guy I add when it clears up. It's really not a lot of work. You just have to periodically identify "your guys".

Basically every part of North's quote outlines ungodly, while I consider unhealthy subscribing to BP, reading most FG articles, and sometimes checking MLBTR and other s***.

I'm too old for ANY of that.

Anyone wanna deal a starter for an outfielder? I have Kris Davis, Torii Hunter , Adam Jones, Carlos Gomez, who I'd move. And bargain bin-ers, Leoyns Martin and Geraldo Parra

Moving him already, he isn't on your team yet...:P

Was just throwing his name out there. Would rather move Davis for a depth starter. Or Jones or Gomez for an ace.

Why is our deal not finalized?

In news that is likely only interesting to me, I am currently beating the all-time record for slugging percentage in a week. Would be pretty cool to beat that one.

We'll Uber Sil into Locals to watch the Sunday night game with you...if you still have a shot going into the Angels game Sunday night. But you have to play Rajai tomorrow to make it interesting.

Derek Fisher is having one of the greatest games in affiliated baseball history... three dingers (two grand slams), a double and 12 steaks.

Spanky has to cut/promote someone in order to take on Alen Hanson...

Our cut down date thingy will be day 1 of the real life MLB draft.

As usual, surplus picks disappear immediately at the cut down. Nobody is allowed to go over 12 picks + prospects during the draft, so any trades during the draft need to be even on the minor league side.

At a glance, I don't see any owned prospects that need to be forcibly promoted.

Cool story king, only 1 prospect update though?

Why do you say stuff when King and I mention our prospects but not when Dinger, Boxy, et al. do?

For you, because your team is good enough already and just feels like you're piling on. For King, probably just his general aura of annoyance.

Speaking for the et al. crowd, it's cause I never mention my prospects cause I have none, and the one's I do have are awful.

Fortunately the ones I do have get traded for AJ Pollock and I proceed to talk incessantly about him instead.

Juan Uribe is in the Braves' lineup against the Dodgers Wednesday, batting fifth and playing third base.

Advice: Uribe didn't have to travel far after Wednesday's trade, simply walking to the Braves' locker room as the Dodgers host Uribe's new club. With third baseman Chris Johnson returning from the disabled list on Wednesday afternoon, Uribe will likely fill a part-time role with the Braves moving forward.

Advice: Uribe's decline has accelerated in his age-36 season and he's doubtful to take on significant fantasy relevance with a change of scenery. The veteran had hit just .247/.287/.309 with one home run and six RBI in 29 games for the Dodgers. Getting him out of Los Angeles allows Alex Guerrero to become an everyday player.

Juan Uribe went 3-for-4 with a homer, a walk and three runs scored against the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: He even stole a base. The guess here is that the Dodgers will eventually regret trading Uribe for a collection of spare parts. He's still a pretty solid option as a regular third baseman.
