Laika Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2015 Author Posted May 10, 2015 I wonder how bad Dickey is for gate business. When I go to my few games per year, really my only purchasing criteria is that it cannot be an RA Dickey start. Why would anyone pay to sit in the seats and watch him pitch?

I got really bummed out when I thought I was going to a Dickey start this year, luckily it ended up being Hutch. I think the only people that want to go watch him are those that care about his story.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 When I heard he was starting I was so pissed.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I don't appreciate all this slanderous talk about my SP7
TRM Verified Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Dickey at 78 has to be one of the worst picks from the initial draft. An absolute bust as my "ace". I hated the pick at the time, it was a total panic move because I wanted the guy so badly who was taken one pick ahead, but everyone assured me it wasn't as bad as I thought. Only thing that makes me feel a little better about the whole thing was the guy I was so despaired about missing by one pick: Allen Craig at 77 to Dinger.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 You might as well release him at this point. He's likely not getting much better.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 You might as well release him at this point. He's likely not getting much better. Yeah. I'm a lot more comfortable with my waiver adds like Gee, and Whitley than I would be running Dickey out there.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2015 Author Posted May 10, 2015 Oh, there you are, BTS. Danny Salazar: 13.09 K/9 1.36 BB/9 2.03 xFIP
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Oh, there you are, BTS. Danny Salazar: 13.09 K/9 1.36 BB/9 2.03 xFIP He should be very good for you until he gets hurt.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Yeah. I'm a lot more comfortable with my waiver adds like Gee, and Whitley than I would be running Dickey out there. I would be more comfortable replacing him with your run-of-the-mill 8.0/2.5 K/BB reliever.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I would be more comfortable replacing him with your run-of-the-mill 8.0/2.5 K/BB reliever. Yeah, maybe. I've been looking all year for one of those to plug in as a starter. Haven't found one yet.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 David Robertson with a Sunday special. Screws Danks out of a win, maneuvers himself into one. ughh
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 It would be very upsetting for all of us if Pomeranz were looking dominant. Felt like it was a worthy gamble. Glad I didn't deal Nelson, he looks like he could really be something.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Anybody want Buehrle for a low end pick or prospect?
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 One week closer to passing Boxy in the standings.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Anybody want Buehrle for a low end pick or prospect? Seems like my kind of guy
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Seems like my kind of guy Maybe in two, or three years.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Hey North, I wrote you a new yahoo team slogan: Losing streak: 1 matchup
TRM Verified Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Hey North, I wrote you a new yahoo team slogan: Losing streak: 1 matchup Even with Cishek blowing the save.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Justin Turner is kind of awesome. The Dodgers really should start playing him every day.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 What is ISO Horny waiting for with Pederson? If he was a cellar dweller, I could understand, but that team is making noise.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 What is ISO Horny waiting for with Pederson? If he was a cellar dweller, I could understand, but that team is making noise. IKR? I'm wondering the same thing. In a league this deep, having a Pederson could be the difference of making the playoffs and not making the playoffs
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 What is ISO Horny waiting for with Pederson? If he was a cellar dweller, I could understand, but that team is making noise. Yeah. Pederson in over Zimmerman over the first 5 weeks probably gives torontofan multiple wins.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Any team with Goldy can be a playoff team, the man is a is a menace. I have Goldy and Cruz in FC and they're absolutely carrying me. Pederson looks like a real bastard too, an OBP freak with 30/20 upside.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 12-2 over TCA. North loses. Gonna be in first place after this week. Feels good, man.

BTS Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 You ready for a MC showdown next week spanky?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 You ready for a MC showdown next week spanky? Yup, my bats against your pitching...
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 First AB of the game and Big Hos slides head-first into first base, lol.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Even with Cishek blowing the save. Cishek has lost 2 MPH off his fastball and his GB rate has gone off a cliff. I have to think he's injured.
