BTS Community Moderator Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Steamer has Craig's wOBA at .339 and Trumbo at .329. Tangibly worse! Did we stop using counting stats this year?
TRM Verified Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 The season needs to start. If we spend the next 26 days talking about Allen Craig I'm gonna lose it.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Steamer has Craig's wOBA at .339 and Trumbo at .329. Tangibly worse! Cool now project playing time. Craig is worth about as much as Carlos Quentin. You should just admit defeat and drop him for the dogs (and Kat) to fight over.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Did we stop using counting stats this year? Nope, give me the Steamer 600 breakdown.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Nope, give me the Steamer 600 breakdown. Steamer 600 is irrelevant for a part time player.
TRM Verified Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Steamer 600 is irrelevant for a part time player. Dinger is really dumn
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Steamer 600 is irrelevant for a part time player. Let's cut to the chase and make a bet on it. Better wOBA, min 300 PAs.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Dinger is really dumn I think you're all really dumn for counting out a guy who had 3 straight .360+ wOBA seasons before 2014. That's fine though, we'll see what becomes of him and you can all laugh at me some more if he's cooked. And if I'm right, none of you will ever hear the end of it (obviously).
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Let's cut to the chase and make a bet on it. Better wOBA, min 300 PAs. wOBA is basically a wash according to projections. Fangraphs DC has Trumbo at 0.339 (godawful!) and Craig at 0.328, but Craig is probably a platoon player this year, so that gives him an edge. Overall fantasy value is not close those though.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 is JaysBlue alive? i sent him a pro-board PM a while ago and he hasn't responded. Haven't seen him on here either (that I can recall)
TRM Verified Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 He posted in the main forum yesterday about trading for Delgado. He's around

Trumbo didn't have any fantasy value last year either, so I don't know why you think you have a leg to stand on. He was a big contributor to my PL relegation.

Haven't seen him on here either (that I can recall) Some people have the rather ugly habit if completely ignoring any messages or trade offers that they don't like. The trick with jaysblue is to send him a lot of really s***** offers and annoy him to the point that he'll grace you with a "lol no" reply.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Watching Dinger pretend that Allen Craig has any value has been rather fascinating In reality he's a back-up outfielder. He won't have a starting gig in the majors unless he's traded or a few Redsox go down.

TRM Verified Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 It has always bothered me that when referring to a single Red Sox player, you can't call him a Red Sock.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 It has always bothered me that when referring to a single Red Sox player, you can't call him a Red Sock. Well they don't wear just one sock!

Just a gross player from multiple angles.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 But seriously, if it will end the Craig talk I might be willing to send you Vargas for him if there's a pick coming back to me.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 But seriously, if it will end the Craig talk I might be willing to send you Vargas for him if there's a pick coming back to me. omg you sly dog
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 *a Red Sox goes down And both are highly likely scenarios. Maybe if it is Napoli/1B. He's 5th in line in for the OF.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Dinger, stop being dumn and trade him to me while you still can. I have my eye on 16th place.
