That's why I hate to see him go. I want to keep him but I can't justify keeping him over a Gallardo. Even though Smith could outperform Gallardo (and be more beneficial to my team), the latter will have more trade value.

I still prefer Cueto to Pence, but it's about needs. In October I made the deal because I figured it would be easy to find a replacement outfielder in over 4 months.

 

SG, North, TRM all have excellent OF but weren't interested in dealing any. Everyone else either asked for too much, or pulled out and decided to keep their OF. Then Carter got OF eligibility so North and I came back to this deal.
