BTS Community Moderator Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 We did a good thing that day. Actually, I think that trade worked out pretty well for all involved. And we got to spite njh! Well, Choo s*** the bed for a few weeks and then missed the playoffs. Deal could look terrible for me if he doesn't come back strong.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Choo can't possibly be that bad again. I think he'll be very useful again this year.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I really don't want to participate in this.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 I really don't want to participate in this. Try tho
TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 If anybody is going to cut their s*****, busted ass prospects, give me a shout. I might give a late pick for a couple of them -- better something than nothing! JR Graham is my prospect cut. Minny is forced to play him.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) Looking at my initial roster I think i've only made like 6 trades. Only two I remember outside of this year's two deals are Wil Myers for Carlos Santana and Junior Lake for a mid 60's pick who became Chance Sisco. I traded Pujols, Rollins and Wainwright but I can't remember what those deals were. Judging by the talent on my team it wasn't much return. EDIT - Okay looked up some of my trades (and it's a lot more than 6, although most have been minor). These won't include prospects or picks Kipnis for Fowler and Infante Revere for Morales Bud Norris for Luke Scott (I certainly hope I got picks or prospects even if Norris is nothing). Fowler for Fiers Fiers and Soriano for some form of picks, waiver or prospect. Pujols and Wainwright for Carpenter and Jose Fernandez. Lohse for Soriano Rollins for Ethier (I seriously hope I got something else with that one). Edited February 11, 2015 by TheHurl
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I dunno how you can regret the Fernandez trade, but I'll do tradesies backsies if you want.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) It was a late 1st, around 16 I think. It was 14th! Davidson for Archer would look much worse Edited February 11, 2015 by NorthOf49

Laika Community Moderator Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 It was 14th! Davidson for Archer would look much worse How's that league trade history coming?
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 How's that league trade history coming? I'll probably do it during a free day next week (it's reading week). How do you want it to look?
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I'll probably do it during a free day next week (it's reading week). How do you want it to look? Better than the BBDL's.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 fun to look back. Worst three trades. 1 - Traded: Justin Upton, Nick Delmonico (chaff), MiLB Pick #63 For: James Paxton, Rafael Montero, Delino DeShields Jr, MiLB Pick #22 (Trea Turner) 2 - Traded: Brian McCann, Pablo Sandoval, MiLB #72 For: Joe Mauer, Jon Singleton, Matt Davidson Pablo had BLOWN that year. Spent the next long while trying to trade for a 3B while Pablo killed it. ugg. Couldn't really think of a third (unless someone else can recall trade raping me). At least I have some nice wins to my name including; - Ventura, Giolito, Fernando Rodney, MiLB #88, Bloomquist for James Sheilds, Michael Morse, MiLB #76 - Sean Doolittle for MiLB #45 and Cody Ross - Getting Shoemaker for MiLB #52 then trading him for Barreto and a 1st round pick - Dee Gordon for Matt Garza
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 For me the worst trade was giving Fatt Adams + Mid 30s MiLB pick for 8th overall. It's nothing too consequential, but I clearly overestimated the value for an MiLB pick. I also didn't think Adams would be relevant a year later and was under the impression I was selling high. The trade I regret the most is Cueto for Pence. I still like Cueto and think he's at least as equal to Pence in value, but now I'm having a hard time acquiring another outfielder. I thought it would be an easy task to find one but it's proving rather tough.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Cory Luebke. Enjoy Gary Sanchez! That one wasn't bad, lost cause for lost cause.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Cory Luebke. Anthony Rendon.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Anthony Rendon. I don't think Rendon for Russell will be that bad, long-term. Rendon is overrated ATM and have an injury-plagued career. Too bad about Russell for OT, tho.

I better go trade him right away. You should probably do the same with Sale. But ya, that thing with OT really sucks.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I didn't put that one into my 'wins' because it seemed a bit morbid.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Rendon already has an extensive injury history Yeah he might stub his toe on the way to the podium for his Hall of Fame speech.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I'd take the under on .350 wOBA, 20 HR, and 15 SB.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Rendon? Book it. I'll bet you $20, 2/3 takes it.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I'll bet you $20, 2/3 takes it. I'd take that bet...
Chappy Community Moderator Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I'd take that bet... You might as well just send him the money now then.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 I'd take the under on .350 wOBA, 20 HR, and 15 SB. Well he barely met those counting stats in almost 700 PA so those aren't very sensible 0/U choices.
