I'm not seeing an option to make the finals 2 weeks. We can have a 21 week season instead of 22 weeks though, so our finals week is the 24th week (Sept 21-27) instead of the 25th (Sept 28-Oct 4)

Could you post the final deal here when it happens? I've had some strong interest in Carpenter in the BBDL, and I'm curious what he goes for.

It's kind of a mixed blessing. It forces you to do all your adds in the morning or the player gets locked. At least the other way, you can make your moves whenever you want which is better for people's schedules. It the system allowed you to make next day adds once the player was locked, it would be the best of both worlds.

That's how ESPN does it. You add players for the game they're next unlocked for.

 

On Yahoo I prefer next-day adds.

Yeah, I really hate being frozen out on next day adds once games start. That's when injuries occur, so that's when a lot of adds become actionable. Waiting until the next day to make a hot add is seriously frustrating if you by rights should have been first on the scene. I wouldn't own Gattis if we had same day adds.

I traded him straight up for Howie Kendrick in FC. Losing 2B eligibility hurts Carp's value but he's still a solid 3B in OBP leagues.

I read somewhere that yahoo doesn't have that option. Really dumn.

The impression I've been getting from him for the last few months is that he just doesn't really like interacting with most of the people on this message board anymore, including a chunk of LoD people. Can't really blame him.

I don't blame him either. TBH the only reason i come on here is for the Off Topic Forum for Fantasy.... Rarely will i venture over to the other side.

The Other Side is at least better now then it was near the end of the season.

 

Still some questionable personalities over there but your right it is a little better. When the season starts thats when a bunch of people come out of the woodworks.

Re-Announcement:

 

I've set the league up as a keeper league this year. Select whichever of your 20 keepers are on your Yahoo imported end-of-year roster from 2014. Doesn't matter if it's 2 or 20 - we will manually add the remaining after the keeper deadline (if this doesn't work for whatever reason, we will just manually add all rosters).

 

Feb 15th at midnight is keeper deadline. You should have your 20 selected in Yahoo and posted here or on ProBoards before then. Rule 4 draft starts on the 22nd. We'll still do 12 hour windows I think.

 

You can post your cuts now if you want.

For the BBDL it didn't take too long at all to drop all players no longer on the team and then add new acquisitions. Teams just make their cuts on Yahoo by the deadline and then there is no work for the commishes then.
