Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Arrieta is going to crash back down next year regardless, I think we can all agree on that. I'd be desperately selling him if someone valued him as a fringe SP1.

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 And Stroman's value takes a nice little bump. Thats what i was thinking too. Although i am starting to have a lot of Blue Jays on this team with Stro, Martin, Devon Travis i am getting worried here.... Blue jays must like the makeup of my roster... Next thing you know it we will have Wacha and Sonny Grey....
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I'd buy into Arrieta if you're selling.

Laika Community Moderator Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 DDL History Lesson. June 17th-20th, 2013. The greatest minor league draft round by a single owner in DDL history. On June 17th at 1:58 pm, The True Cardinals select Danny Salazar in the 5th round of the June draft, 82nd overall. On June 20th at 4:54 am, The True Cardinals select Mookie Betts in the 5th round of the June draft, 100th overall. The True Cardinals no longer own either player, but that round will forever live in our history.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Danny Salazar sucks, Sonny Gray was a far better pick in that draft.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Sonny Gray is better. Saladbar licks my taint.

Laika Community Moderator Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 I made the Betts pick but BTS got Torrii Hunter for Betts and Roy Oswalt. Oh that happened concurrently? I was just looking at the draft thread that had 100 - TTC - Mookie Betts. If you in fact made the selection with your own brain, then we can expunge the entire event from DDL history. No longer a special round. Just mildly interesting.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Yeah, KingKat told me who to pick. I had never heard of Mookie Betts.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 So BTS is a big fat phony.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 So BTS is a big fat phony. Well... I did turn two 5ths into Ian Kennedy and David Robertson.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Well... I did turn two 5ths into Ian Kennedy and David Robertson. Only way that would impress me is if it was two 5ths of Captain Morgan.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Trade: To Triple Hawpe Brewed; Andrew (Andrew) Heaney To (insert clever name); Travis D'Arnaud
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 - Must be frustrating to be a Mauer owner.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Must be frustrating to be a Mauer owner. nah, it was happening before I traded for him. I valued him as a 1B in the trade. I just knew I would need a new C for this year (thought it would be Pinto!!)
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 D'arnaud is an intriguing guy but with Rosario in the fold, I couldn't really bring myself to offer anything really good for him.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Billy Butler about to sign in Oakland. f***ing Oakland.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Billy Butler about to sign in Oakland. f***ing Oakland. lmao
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 Billy Butler about to sign in Oakland. f***ing Oakland. Base report doesn't look legit. Seems like some Kevin Gray presser at 9 ********. Also doesn't make a lot of sense for Oakland...
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Base report doesn't look legit. Seems like some Kevin Gray presser at 9 ********. Laika Community Moderator Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 Yeah, I commented after reading ang's post in the main forum. Thankfully this doesn't seem like a done deal. But if it is, it's basically worst case ontario for you. O.Co + might even platoon a bit with a superior hitter vs righties. e: looks legit actually. Some bigger guys confirming the three year deal. Butler for pick #107?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 But if it is, it's basically worst case ontario for you. O.Co + might even platoon a bit with a superior hitter vs righties. Padres
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 Padres Well with them at least you'd know that Butler will retain 1B eligibility + play every day.

I think their park might be bad enough that it equalizes, plus the A's offense will probably be put together in such a way that Butler's counting stats would be decent and the Padres' offense... ..yeah.

Well look here kid, I said "basically worst case ontario". Do you understand what the qualifier 'basically' means? Do you understand why I pretty much put one or two qualifiers in almost every sentence that I type?
