NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Odorizzi not getting much love from the fantasy community for a guy that's got Ks out the ass and the lowest SIERA among SPs <25. Kind of crazy after what a disaster his April was. Kiss nuts, Sonny Gray! The Royals fans who whine about the James Shields trade all the time for some reason never whine about losing Odorizzi. He is a really good young pitcher.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 I can only speak for myself, but I just found Odorizzi to be extremely underwhelming during his first few times through the league in terms of both stuff and results. The velocity and the K rate weren't really there, and his AAA rate stats only ranged from pedestrian to good. So if anyone else is like me, they might have kind of written him off as something less than he is, and they haven't really been paying attention to him this year especially after the garbage March/April. I just Fangraphs.com'd him for the first time in months and I have to admit, his K rate knocked my buttplug clean out of my anus.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 Guys, I don't think you all realize how enormously gratifying it is to draft a future Blue Jays Ace, graduate him onto your Dynasty league fantasy roster, and then watch him blossom immediately.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I'm looking for waiver upgrades for next season for Hellickson. Anyone willing? I'd like to get all my waivers in the first 2 rounds this year. Guys are trading waiver picks left and right so it looks like we can do this if you still want to.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 As was stated, waiver slot picks became tradeable as soon as 2015 draft picks did. We just forgot to add them to the spreadsheet. They are there now (scroll down!). We will keep that pattern for future years. Next season's Rule 4 and Rule 5 picks will become legal trade chips immediately following the conclusion of our June Rule 4 draft. Next year's rule 5 picks will not become tradeable right after the February rule 5. I don't like the idea of having picks from two different drafts and years in play at the same time. Seems messy.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Good god, my offense is consistently terrible.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Good god, my offense is consistently terrible. Josh Hamilton and/or Adrian Gonzelez could help you with that.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 Xander Bogaerts is just crushing dreams this year.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 LOL Josh Hamilton. Also, wow, Adrian Gonzalez' slashline really went into the pooper.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Josh Hamilton and/or Adrian Gonzelez could help you with that. Trading for one of them just to bench Joyce, Belt and Butler every day seems like a pretty bad idea.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Holy s*** Cobb struck out 12, how do you still have balls BTS?
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 BTS better cash out now before he gets Gyorko'd/Butler'd! Nah.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 He's been money lately, I watched the Lucroy vs Molina today concerning the framing debacle on this forum, but I was very impressed with Odirizzi's location, not very over powering but that split change is sick. (thks 2 Cobb) I hope Cobb's start today brought you pleasure that f***ing Jon Niese and Odrasmimer Despaigne could never come close to matching.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 Don't those priorities move by position to the seasons result? Just asking, they don't carry over because of position, etc, In season waiver priorities do not = slots for the rule 5 draft (commonly called the waiver draft). Boxy could blow his #1 waiver priority on someone like Nick Markakis this season, and his first round rule 5 pick for February 2015 would still be in the lottery for 1st overall.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 BTS better cash out now before he gets Gyorko'd/Butler'd! I told him to trade me for Reyes... but he wouldn't bite.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I've pretty much become the garbage man for all prospects that bust/struggle. My team is a wasteland for struggling misfits like Mike Zunino, and Jedd Gyorko.
torontofan Verified Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 If anyone is interested I would move Andrew Susac in a prospect swap.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I know exactly what that means...
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I'm curious to see what kind of pitcher I could get for Pujols, Ortiz, or Craig. If you have an interesting idea, shoot me a PM.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Sent you something for Craig. Also when was the last time a Grienke type pitcher was moved?
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Darvish was just dealt twice in like 10 days lol
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Scott Kazmir has been just as good as Greinke this year, in this format.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Lol all these offers for Craig are s***. I suppose the shoe fits.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Scott Kazmir has been just as good as Greinke this year, in this format. Shut your Whoreish Mouth. Grienke is the best pitcher ever and you should sell your first, second and third born to have him.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Lol all these offers for Craig are s***. I suppose the shoe fits. Yeah, I couldn't get any more than an SP7 or 8 for Butler.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Yup, shoe fits alright. Vogelsong for CarGo?
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Yup, shoe fits alright. I'm surprised Butler's fat foot fits in any shoe.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 So Jake Arrieta has a better FIP than Jose Fernandez. Fluky HR rate, but still...
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 BTS and North did you guys get my Emails??????
