BTS Community Moderator Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Lol @ ew. What I just said has Lawrie at 110 wRC+ and Rendon at 120 going forward. Not much of a difference from what you posted Even 110 would surprise me at this point TBH. But I also hate him profoundly after wasting my 2nd round pick on him, so there's that. Also, I sent you a proboards PM.

Nox Verified Member Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Eww. Lawrie looks like a 95-105 wRC+ guy while Rendon looks like a 120+ wRC+ guy IMO. wOBA makes more sense in fantasy. You reap what the park bears.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Courtesy of Nox, gentlemen........ http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/3573-KLaws-Midseason-Top-50-Prospect-List I would really like to know what Jesse Winker has to do to get on this list. He outhit Ruiz by a mile, same league, same age, same defensive concerns and Ruiz makes the list over Winker. WTF? 20 year olds who produce 160+ wRC+ in A+ before starting AA as a league average bat are no big deal I guess. He's a better prospect now than Joey Votto was at the same age. Keith Law can suck it.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Winker has below average speed, arm, and D. He's a LF-only guy who doesn't project for a ton of power, so his hitting will have to carry him at every level. Hes a better fantasy prospect than real life prospect.

Yeah my whole point is that there are guys with the same negative qualities (like Ruiz) but for some reason their's are partially excused. And average d or not, those numbers from a guy young for each level are incredible. Oh well I guess.

So you're saying Boxy has a fantasy stud in Winker.

BTS Community Moderator Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Temporarily back on top of the MC Division. Sammy falling out of it?
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Temporarily back on top of the MC Division. Sammy falling out of it? Sammy is right on the fence. He can make a big move and go for it, or move some age and look towards next year. It would suck to do the former and still miss the playoffs.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 21, 2014 Author Posted July 21, 2014 Has Spanky responded to anyone's offers yet?
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Has Spanky responded to anyone's offers yet? Nope. Getting that man to actually listen and respond to an offer on one of his guys is like pulling teeth.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 21, 2014 Author Posted July 21, 2014 Temporarily back on top of the MC Division. Sammy falling out of it? Sammy and I could have easily split this week 7-7 with how close some of the categories are. The Turkey Bacon Club and Monte Cristo divisions are absolute dog fights this year... the other two... um, not so much.

It would suck to do the former and still miss the playoffs. I'm not a huge believer in his team this year. He has some very nice pieces, but IMO he lacks the depth. Given his success so far this year it does make for an interesting decision for him.

I work probably within 20 minutes of where I'm pretty sure that he lives. I should just show up at his house tomorrow with a case of Blue, a bottle of Forty Creek, and a really weak offer in my back pocket for 10 drinks after hello.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Blue.....yuck, and bring some well aged Whiskey, godammit!! I'll talk to you fekkers tommorow. But tomorrow never comes.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 I've never seen Spanky make a bad trade that I can remember.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 I had an okay week, you had a really good one. Congrats on the win! It always feels nice as a contender to get a decisive victory over the 1st place team.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Does anyone have Spanky's phone number?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Just cut him already and make your other trade. He's waiver fodder.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 21, 2014 Author Posted July 21, 2014 Last call on Francisco, 4th rounder takes him! Liriano? Sure!
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 My goal in this league from the start has been to prioritize offense over pitching, and somehow I've managed to have a bottom-five offense and the best pitching staff in the league this year. #doingitwrong
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Gotta say, your plan is working out smashingly for me. Mad jelly of that offense.
