Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Boxy's ace Cory Luebke done for the season. BURN. That was basically half of what he got back for Ryan Zimmerman (via Gary Sanchez).
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I can't remember, what was the other half?
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Ryan Zimmerman Saga To Me: Adrian Beltre, Omar Infante, 110th pick To Boxy: Ryan Zimmerman, 31st pick, 83rd pick ----- To Boxy: Jake Odorizzi, Gary Sanchez, #10 To Dinger: Ryan Zimmerman, #70, #91 ----- To Dinger: Jose Fernandez, (others?) To KingKat: Ryan Zimmerman, Lester To Boxy: Cory Luebke + Fearthedoc's 3rd rounder To Fearthedoc: Gary Sanchez + Dinger's 2nd rounder + Boxy's 3rd rounder
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I feel like half the league has owned Zimmerman at some point. I would never let my Zimmermann be passed around like a piece of meat.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 It was Gary Sanchez, Jake Odorizzi, and #10 (Dom Smith) For Ryan Zimmerman, #70 (Miguel Almonte), and #91 (traded to Spanky).
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Ryan Zimmerman Saga To Me: Adrian Beltre, Omar Infante, 110th pick To Boxy: Ryan Zimmerman, 31st pick, 83rd pick The #31 pick was acquired from Dinger for Huston Street, who is now with... yes, King Kat. ----- To Boxy: Jake Odorizzi, Gary Sanchez, #10 To Dinger: Ryan Zimmerman, #70, #91 ----- To Dinger: Jose Fernandez, (others?) To KingKat: Ryan Zimmerman, (others?) Zimm + Lester for J-Fern
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I also flipped Infante soon after to Hurl lol. And Lester was recently flipped to BTS. You could make quite the flow chart with this. Do it! It would be epic.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Zimm + Lester for J-Fern I think you should give me Fernandez for the two picks I got in the Luebke deal. So it looks like it led to an even greater return.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Do it! It would be epic. I will after work. You can do a lot with the picks. Somehow Dinger ended up with the #83 pick that I sent to Boxy, and drafted Mike Foltynewicz, who is now with jays_fever.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 You might want to include the DeShields saga in this flow chart, as it loops back into the Ortiz-Lester semi-threeway.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I believe Folty was part of my Beachy acquisition (now with NJH lol).
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Somehow BTS wound up with my 3rd rounder in that Boxy deal. No idea how. EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. To Boxy: Matt Harvey #16 MiLB To BTS: Ryan Braun #24 waiver #60 MiLB Who knew it would lead to such a blockbuster.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 So I'm making the flowchart. It's going to be crazy.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 What's funny is that Sanchez was then traded for Crick who we all know has been passed around alot. If your incorporate the Sanchez Crick parts of it.. it will be huge.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 As a guilty party, I'd like to thank the admins who have to connect the dizzying array of dots in these deals, heh. The new spreadsheet really helps. Probably my best idea ever, in anything. I'm thinking we'll track prospects on it during the season instead of in the commissioner's note on Yahoo. JW, does anybody download the spreadsheet every once in a while for offline viewing, so we have a backup in case Google gets blown up by extremists terrorists or PETA or something?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 *in case BTS f***s up and deletes everything
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Give me commishy powers so I can vainly input my own roster.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Looks like Kat needs to sign up and team list finalized before we can start inputting rosters.

Laika Community Moderator Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 Welp. Better start collecting resumes.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 This flowchart is getting much bigger than I thought lol. Just about every trade can be traced to Zimmerman.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) So these are the connected DDL trades to date. For optimal viewing, use a full window: http://i.imgur.com/MLcFeha.png There are quite a few players who lead back to themselves, sometimes after as many as 15 trades. The first team listed in a trade arrow is the team that gave up the players whose lines point to the trade arrow. The second team listed gave up the players who the trade arrow lines point to. If you are going to complete a trade today, it will very likely fit into this map somehow. To avoid it you have to be very careful to only trade and receive native players/picks... and then you and your trade partners must never trade those players again. http://i.imgur.com/MLcFeha.png Edited February 6, 2014 by NorthOf49
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Wow kudos for taking the time to do this.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 North where were you on this? You should have just put together a simultaneous 16-team 100+ asset trade. It would have saved us all so much time.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 The only significant player loop not connected is Ervin Santana's. He's been traded a few times with many pieces involved but none have provided a link. It's only a matter of time until it links up though lol.

Give me Chris Carter for Ervin Santana right now and it all links together.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 It's 2 AM on a Thursday night. I sign into the DDL google docs to check up on a few things, and there are 3 other viewers. This is why I love you guys.
