Yeah, the inconsistency and injuries have been maddening this season, but Ray Ferraro's a moron! I still believe in this group. ;)

 

I think they match up well against Tampa. And I don't think Stammer will be back in time for that series.

 

Ferraro stands a foot away from the benches, and played the game. If he says the Leafs bench is noticeably dead, it's probably true.

I was just taking a dig at Ferraro, yeah, and inconsistency comment was answering that. :P

The NHL needs to cancel the rest of the regular season. Leafs hanging on by a thread to a playoff spot and now all four Canadian teams in the west own a playoff spot. Let's start this again in a month from now.

Hockey history, 50th anniversary of Serge Savard tangling up with Vic Hadfield, hitting the goalpost and breaking his leg in five places, thought to be a career ender back then in his second year but he fought back for a great career with the Habs

Great, got to watch Game 6 of that Kings series again. Forget what total bull the first Kings goal was, crashing the net and the puck was never seen going in

 

Not to mention the biggest pile of cow flop in Toronto history. Grateful I didn’t lose 4 elderly loved ones on the spot, 2 were infuriated and beet red and sputtering for hours after that one...

Leafs sign Mikko Lehtonen to a 1-year ELC.

26 year year old LHD. 6'0", 190.

Highest scoring D-man in the KHL.

 

The more I read about this guy, the more I'm chubbing, he'll step in on our D nicely after losing Barrie next year. Also, this guy the Leafs have in Europe is a pretty good talent finder/negotiator, Zaitziev/Mikheyev/Barabanov and now Lehtonen. Sweet action. :)

If this goes through, I will enjoy seeing people lose their minds as soon as a 17th-24th seed upsets a higher ranked seed as they "shouldn't have made it to the playoffs in the first place".

Why don't they just have everyone make the playoffs, then? What's the point of having a regular season?

 

Oh man, the NHL is always good for a laugh. I guess at least Leaves fans can mostly count on making the playoffs every year.
