I opened one for today for 5:30 EST....yahoo.

 

Anyone interested? I can send the invite and you can take a look. I don't think I will have any issue filling the league up...

Both teams i think will battle for the last wild card but in a few years these 2 teams are going to be pretty fun to watch.

I love people that are hating on the Leafs. Hilarious. I didn't think a rebuild was that foreign of a concept.

 

Let me break it down.

 

s*** team finishes low.

s*** team drafts high.

s*** team hopefully had a good scouting team and they add some high end talent.

s*** team works on developing said talent.

Record doesn't matter.

 

Rinse... And repeat a few times.

 

Once core is in place and grows together and starts showing some on Ice success, augment with some veteran leadership and tweak to fill in gaps.

 

This process often takes years.

 

Hope I've cleared it up for people like BTS.

Babcock said there'd be pain, if that pain ends up with another top 5 pick where after Patrick the next best players seems to be D-men than I'm fine with that. This isn't the usual Leafs team where we are stuck watching aging veterans past their prime play for themselves. It's a fast, skilled team under one of the best coaches in the league learning to become winners. I'd rather watch that any day, even if they aren't winning very often!

Well, that goes without saying, really. This team is stacked with good young talent, of course they're going to win through growing pains. I haven't been so happy with the Buds since the early 90's.
