GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Author Posted June 29, 2016 Guys I heard John Tavares wants to come to Toronto.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 You're a bandwagon Raptor fan you uphill gardening knob slobbering fart box jockey You messed that all up... *hit reset, and try again*
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 The best part of the Stamkos signing is that it hopefully puts an end to the "Stamkos to Toronto" notion. Hnnngghhh...
King Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Craig CustanceVerified account @CraigCustance Early thoughts from two phone calls is that Montreal has edge Subban/Weber swap. Scouts/execs love Shea Weber. lol

GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Author Posted June 29, 2016 Nice try. Not sure what you're talking about.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Not sure what you're talking about. Next year?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Author Posted June 29, 2016 Next year? He has two seasons left no? Perfect timing for the Leafs rebuild finishing up. Book it.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Seriously, what a moron! Just throwing money away. Factoring in taxes, $8.5M in Florida is like $10.5M in Toronto.
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Factoring in taxes, $8.5M in Florida is like $10.5M in Toronto. He's still throwing money away. Also, I didn't say anything about Toronto.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Apparently Isles could have Hall if they offered Hamonic. NHL GMs are so stupid. Taveras with Hall would have been so fun to watch.

crazy47larry Verified Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 f***! now we have to deal with Weber all the time now. and Devils killed the Oilers too.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I think Peter Chiarelli is allergic to elite young talent. McDavid trade confirmed.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 He's still throwing money away. Also, I didn't say anything about Toronto. It won't be that much better anywhere else either. And maybe he likes it in Florida and it's not all about the $$$ for him.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I think Peter Chiarelli is allergic to elite young talent. Garth Snow isn't much better if he turned that down.
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 It won't be that much better anywhere else either. And maybe he likes it in Florida and it's not all about the $$$ for him. "Liking it in Florida" seriously brings a person's character into question. Perhaps this is best for all the teams that were interested in him.
GoldBull Verified Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Chiarelli at his presser: "He's a big, strong defender...a match-up guy...offence isn't his forte" lol just awful

Florida's got great weather and big cities and good communities and a low tax rate and the Lightening are a smart, successful organization.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Lol are you f***ing serious? Florida's got great weather and big cities and good communities and a low tax rate and the Lightening are a smart, successful organization. and not having to deal with toronto fans + media. The biggest bonus

With all the snowbirds in Florida he's basically signing in Canada anyway, but without the taxes
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 That Weber contact is fugly Its terrible. They felt they had to do it. The market was set that off season by MINN making a big splash with Parise and Suter. I do some business with one of their owners and was working out of his offices through that whole period while they were trying to figure out what to do.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I don't know what's funnier: the Oilers, or all the stupid f***s in Toronto who thought they were getting Stamkos.
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Lol are you f***ing serious? Also, I think you're taking my post a bit too seriously. That seems to be a significant problem around here.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I don't know what's funnier: the Oilers, or all the stupid f***s in Toronto who thought they were getting Stamkos. The habs. As a Leaf fan I'm happy with this decision.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 The habs. As a Leaf fan I'm happy with this decision. Ugh, now all the leafs fans are going to claim they didn't want him anyway. Like they thought he was going to sign for 7m a year or something when they were penciling him into their lineup for the last three years.
